You know, i think there is a point in time where both of the stories that were made for this one person will come together once again and become one. I know that sounds crazy and things but i don't think that's to far fetched. This one line or one story line you can call it, would be the TRUE ending for everyone, He becomes one again and because of that he has lived for many years doing and seeing things. Gaining the knowledge of everything that they have both done with their lives as well as the skills they have. he remembers everything and everyone with this knowledge his as well as the fact of knowing if this were to repeat once again, he can find away to make sure this doesn't happen again for anyone else or make this cycle truly stop once and for all.
That's just my take but I don't like to see the main character have to suffer like this at the end of the story. I like them to suffer in the middle or something so they can grow more and become better.
