- Hayley Cramer is a dynamic force behind the drum kit and in this edition of APTV's Two-Stick Stories, the Pop Evil powerhouse breaks down her approach to her instrument and the challenges of being a female drummer.
"I never wanted to be the girl drummer that got the job just because she's a girl. I wanted to get the job with everybody having their eyes closed," said Cramer.
Cramer can now be seen headlining shows with Pop Evil across the world and is currently sharing a stage with rock royalty acts Poison and Cheap Trick, but her origins behind the Pop Evil kit come from drumming along to "Rosanna" and anything and everything on the radio. I love what she brings as a drummer and to Pop Evil. When I watch her play in the videos and concerts, there is a huge vibe coming. And it makes me want to listen to more of their songs😊
I saw pop evil tonight and she is a powerhouse!!!! It was a great show the band was amazing and it was a one of a kind experience l. Will definitely see them again.
I listen to a lot of drummers and I listened to my first Pop Evil song, "Paranoid" and I told my son this band has a great drummer. Not knowing who was the drummer or anything else about this band it was awesome to see Hayley Cramer was not the man I was rocking out to on this song. So impressed and I love all your videos.

Also, HOLY SHIT this woman knows how to play drums. Seeing her play during concerts is god damn mesmerizing.

I’ve personally never had a bad experience with Pop Evil fans but I’ve heard of several people who have.
Livvy 9105 they suck their bassist looks like a metal barbie their singer looks like a cologne salesman the girl isnt a good drummer she just thrives on being a female and their guitarist just snaps the whole time. So.... yeah they suck

Plus, she’s a drummer. She knows how much drum kits coast. Putting baby powder on an expensive drum kit is a pretty dumb move. To be honest; if she ruined my drums (if I was a drummer) I would make her buy me a knew drum kit.
I LOVE Palaye Royale with all my heart, along with Pop Evil and I think both Hayley and Emerson are amazing at what they do. I don't think baby powder would have completely ruined his drums. She seems to actually care about the instrument itself a whole lot, so she wouldn't go and destroy one, especially a kit that wasn't hers. I see where you're coming from though. Pop Evil just has totally different members than Palaye so they do things differently and are maybe used to doing things like that. Still, I think both bands are great. :)
jack b I rlly dislike pop evil their music and they disrespected palaye royale when they deserve it but they obviously weren’t friends they just toured together and they should’ve seen that they are just plain....

She's a great drummer. You should close your eyes and listen to the McQueen album. Her playing is very fluid and expressive and pretty powerful. But I suppose since you are more successful than she is, you can claim some kind of superior knowledge on the matter? I play the drums, or did for about 15 years in several bands. Trust me... Hayley Cramer is an above average drummer. Well above average.
