- Need for Speed Tier List! HOT PURSUIT REMAKE HYPE! Modern Need For Speed Games have taken up more of my time than I would like to admit, and still remains as one of the most memorable Arcade Racers, even if it's not always the most enjoyable from title to title. NEED FOR SPEED EDGE IS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO IT NOT BEING RELEASED WHERE I LIVE. SORRY!!
From the beautiful perspectives of Racer or Cop in Hot Pursuit, from the snowy winter of Rivals, to the thrilling chase of the run, to the sprawling city of Most Wanted, the rainy nights of 2015, or the endless desert of Payback. Modern NFS games have been everywhere, and strangely enough, with each release after Hot Pursuit in 2010, something was always lacking. It's almost as if the games were purposely being crappy in one department to retain the nostalgia of previous titles. That is until of course...we cranked up the heat :)

Payback also has a save problem, i deleted the game and downloaded it again and i lost all my progress
I hate Need For Speed rival.
Mine is 2005
They need to remaster the Most Wanted
"Rivals is a better version of Hot Pursuit"
Hot Pursuit: S Tier
Rivals: A- Tier
*golf claps*
Also he never talked about singleplayer rival AI. Payback had the worst RUBBERBANDING among all of the games.
are u fucking serious? if you talking about the original Ps1 hot pursuit or hot pursuit 2 I agree but the newer one along with MW2012 are absolute garbage lol
dude the cops in nfs rivials are phenomenal
@@mgmmj6664 they really are, I always loved Rivals despite the bugs it was a really fun game, I experienced genuine fear, every time I saw a cop I would shit bricks, those cops were terrifying.

Rivals is da best
Payback in a nutshell:
Strenght: good game, nice gameplay
Weakness: EA

Dont forget good storyline
**Need for furious**
Exactly I Loved All Games Without Payback.

Most Wanted 2012 was such a blast even though the progression was odd. I loved that soundtrack, the world was a delight, graphically it felt fresh. The only complaint I had was THE CRASH SCREEN EVERYTIME YOU GRAZED A COP CAR OR SOMETHING.
I still play Most Wanted 2012 to this day on my Wii U, and it's still amazing. I can agree on the cars practically being made of glass though lmao
Need for speed the run 4k or 8k >>>>>>>>>>>> Most wanted 2012
@@scarybirbman9256 i do too, and the multiplayer is far from dead for an nfs game… every few days i boot up my ps3 and ppl still play there man, new and old players
It's a Burnout game dressed up as a NFS game.
@@darthwiizius But its still enjoyable so it doesn't matter much
Nfs mw 2012 was insanely fun online and single player. I loved being able to go find the cars and progress which ones i liked. The open world was beautiful too
What the hell is wrong with you
eeeehhhhh idk about the singleplayer but multiplayer was fantastic
Naaah every single other good racing game lets you buy/earn the car you want…not stumble upon a random car and plus you cant even have the paint option that you like
@@MinosPrimeGaming_56
I didnt even know the game had multiplayer. I though Rivals were the first need for speed game to come up with this multiplayer system.
@@neilnair5388
I never really cared about painting cars. Heat consentrates on car painting too much. Its true that Most Wanted didnt have story or progression system, but atleast bad story didnt ruin the game as it did with Need for Speed 2015 with their cringe ass diverse charchters. To complete Most Wanted you need to get first place in every single kind of race, when only certain cars are accepted for certain races and so it was fun to go looking after to try find all the cars in the map. Some races were more difficult, so you needed to restart it multiple times before getting that 1st place. Polices also were preatty good and intense overall with how they tried to get you and you get a lot of money, if you survived police chase with six stars. Yes I know that progression system might be better, but you got to finish races in your own pace with you being able to choose the race you want personally. I didnt personally stumble upon Lamborghini at start or even know it was there, but that might be then one of the worst aspects of the game being able to get super car so early in the game itself.

I played it again and the gameplay is garbage
I only like it cause it has the Supra that’s the only good thing about it
@Eric Christy and yes the map was horrible it was so small and it was always nightime technically the only good thing I can say about 2015 was the Supra which is one of my favorite cars of the nfs series and the drifting was also awful
If project unite remakes it should be better than heat
I thought prestige mode was cool it was definitely challenging. I’d rather play 2015 than Heat. Heat is just boring after story mode and way too easy.
Glad to see Rivals gettings a good score, i absolutely loved the game and couldn't stop playing it. It's graphics are way ahead of its time and just getting into ridiculously long and large cop chases with friends and sending them flying with ESF's and shockwaves was too much fun
100% Agree with you, I got this game around 2018-2019 and I loved it. I like the progression and ESFs & shockwaves too. The only complaint is online servers when you're just starting out and good racers just kill you. But other than that, it's really fun!
@@thatoneuser_1520 yeah, there was always that one annoying cop player who wrecked you constantly
I agree with you I absolutely love Rivals and it's actually my first Nfs game ever when I was Kinder, I couldn't finish the whole game but it was really great
Yup i agree with you to like nfs rivals is a great game its just under appreciated nfs rivals is a hidden gem n nfs 2015 to
Miss the PS3 rivals back in the day AAAAAA summer vibes
MW2012 has to be the most overhated NFS game. The game was pretty fun to play, it had a different concept. The soundtracks were amazing too. It is my favourite NFS game after Hot Pursuit because the different concept really got me into the game.
Fr I owned it on Wii U and enjoyed every second. Graphically beautiful at the time
hot take this game has the best soundtrack in the entire franchise. Perfect mix of rock, edm and mainstream rap and pop music. Visuals were also far ahead of its time. You could tell me this game came out in 2020 and I'd believe you
So I'm really the only one who loved Most Wanted 2012? Man my days on the Vita were great because of this game.
Not at all it was really great for me
i am playing in pc nowdays what r u talking dude? i think the guy in video just hate the game for its name and c in physics and upgrades?
Actually you’re not alone. I loved most wanted especially on ps3. I played that for sooo long. Even the mobile version was fun to grind
Bro what are you talking about i had a heart attack when he ranked mw i literally didn't continue watching i had it for like at least 6 or 7 years and I still have it and play it on my xbox 360 in my opinion nfs mw is the best but I am respectful with his choices but lol I can't watch a video that roast mw 😂
I played the f*ck out of that game on the Vita and loved it the whole time
I actually enjoyed playing Rivals, especially the progression.
NFS Rivals had potential to be the best NFS since Carbon. But broken B2D physics, 30fps cap on PC, the inability to pause, and the cops chasing you on sight as if you were an outlaw in the wild west made it kinda disappointing. But I enjoyed this game more than any NFS that came after it.
Rivals pursuit OST by Vanessa Lorena is one of the best in the franchise.
As a fan of Black Box NFS games, NFS Rivals has a special place in my heart (Rivals was developed by Ghost and Criterion Games).
Also the open world of NFS Rivals is underappreciated. Ghost Games and Criterion nailed the snow in this game in my opinion.
30fps cap can be unlocked, but the fps is tied to the gameplay, so every time the game drops fps below your desired fps limit, the game will be slowed down. You will need a really strong PC if you want to play this game at 60+ fps.
FYI, weapons like EMP will take half the time (or even less) to hit opponents or you if you choose to unlock 30fps cap.
I also would like to applaud the former ghost games for making it in like 6 months
@@adedhuman9582 I love how Ghost games made a decent but buggy game within a year, then took 2 years to make Payback and we all know how that turned out. However, Payback's pursuit OST by Joseph Trapanese is one of the best in the franchise and deserves more love.
6 month development time for NFS Rivals is a rumour, but it's possible to make an AAA game with over 200 developers and recycled content within 6-12 months, anyone who played MW2012 will recognize the character models of racer and cop drivers in NFS Rivals.
@@TigerChamp99 Basically the EA Syndrome
I didn't really like the game it just wasn't like other nfs games
NFS Hot Pursuit was godly. It was everyone's dream to have that kind of Cops vs Racers game, also the multiplayer mode was sick when it came to Cops vs Racers. It was actually somewhat competitive.
I must say that I LOVE the soundtrack of Hot Pursuit. Whenever comes to mind, I always end up with listening to it.
That is a banger
Need for Speed Edge is not included since
A. It wasn't released in the region I live in
B. I didn't play it
Therefore I don't want to unfairly rank it having not played it at all or having access to it.
Edge is bad anyways lol
You should rank the forza games
And also great video
Have you played Real Racing 3 And if Yes What do you think about it??
You forgot the need for speed shift 2 .
What if bladed reply....
NFS Heat physics: S
Hol' the fook up...
You can crash into a car head on and do less damage than hitting a wall while going -100 mph.
even the police cant safely land jumps/ramps without wrecking their car, but the player can
totally makes sense
and popping your tires damages the body of your car and does more damage than running into a wall at +200 mph
LoGiC
The Run had the best physics
Gameplay wise makes sense. Unless you want the nfs mw 2012 experience
I'd definitely say its more of a D- not the worst nfs game in that aspect but a D- seems fair to me.
Most Wanted 2012 was my favorite racing game for a while. I was playing this between the ages of 8-12 fairly regularly and I loved being able to just find and drive the best, fastest cars.
I know it hurt the progression, but I knew that I could easily get the thrill of go fast without the hours of grinding that an 8-12 year old wouldn’t have the attention for.
I found another...
It's an amazing game, just weird progression, but I still love it
I used to also play it, when I was eight and nine in 2012 and 2013.
2015 will always be my favorite of all time. The cinematics could be hit or miss but I loved the vibe, especially bringing in icons in Motorsport and street racing. I still play it 7 years later, running my 180sx and R32 through the mountains
Yeah I personally loved 2015 it gave me nfs u2 vibes and I loved it
@@J0J0Zx the thing is, 2015 felt much more vibrant and alive than heat. If you play heat you get no points at all for freeroam driving, whilst in 2015 you get drive points, high tempo points... every action felt meaningful. I really missed that in heat, made whole world feel much more dead than it already was.
I really like 2015, too. Speeding through the city and drifting in the mountains with my Porsche was so much fun
I love the graphics they look so realistic!
You reminded me that 2015 was 7 years ago and now I feel old
I actually really enjoyed playing Most Wanted 2012 :D
Same. I think the main reason I liked it so much though was because it was a childhood game. It was hard then. Now, after playing sim racing games, becoming a pretty good driver (in games) and being better at games in general makes it not as fun. I do understand most of the stuff Bladed said here, except for the graphics. I feel as the graphics were amazing and still are great now.
same, i still have a couple of the songs saved on my spotify playlist lmao
It's my favourite but rivals definitely gave it a run for its money
The thing i liked the most about it was the soundtrack.
If the game was your first child hood game ever, then welcome to the gang
NFS Most Wanted 2012:
Biggest strength: car engine sounds.
Biggest weakness: name.
And look up some info about it's development cycle, it was such a waste, only because of EA's corporate greed.
Sounds ehh...
Aceptable but i say the best thing was uuhhhh...
Nothing... Ummm yes...
I liked the game, probably because I was very young and if I recall correctly, it was the next NFS game I had played after underground 2
I remember playing this game for hours. The city was big and had many cool places to explore, the pursuits were great. I understand why people hate the system with finding cars but it encouraged you to drive many different cars and it allowed for switchig cars mid-chase. This game was tons of fun for more of a sandbox play
@@danielmurawski5926 i also remember that i spend 2000 yrs trying to get the top parts for mclaren mp4 12c and it was after 2000 very fast
Yeah... Would've been mw2, but EA fucked everyone up.
I feel like MW12s physics were super addicting. Definitely a step up from that of HP10's. You can hardly go airborne in HP, and the physics felt more scripted and restrictive in that game than MW12, where you can literally jump 400+ meters given you know how to do that. You also forgor to mention the sounds in that game. Hands down, best engine sounds to date
hp was the best sounding cars g
Just play the android/ios bersion of mw2012 and even that is better than the pc/console bersion
I LOVE Rivals. In my humble opinion its one of the best NFS games. Top 5 easily. The cop chases are cinematic, badass and terrifying at the same time. The AI Cops are SO brutal (especially the 280mph tanks known as Koenigseggs), the progression is grinding but also well worth it. Made you feel like you *earned* your car. The customisation is kinda limited but the pursuit tech makes up for it.
Nfs rival is the worst and i hate it.
I also think Need For Speed Rivals is an awesome game
I agree 100%
@@Onepieceistheworstfuckinganime good to know.
physics killed this game for me. I hoped for the same physics as hot pursuit 😞
6:08 Thank you, finally someone who said they like Rivals. This game really needed 2 things to be great: Better physics(both crash wise and driving into spots that soft lock your game) and get rid of this ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC autolog system without ability to pause the game.
Rivals and hot pursuit r my 2 fav
I liked Rivals one of my fav nfs games the car list was nice and unique on both racer and cop careers the police was fun to mess around and were intense the final event in Grand Tour is one of my favourite final races in Nfs games
I rent this game for a weekend and liked it, but I would definitely not buy. I played mostly as cop and it did get old fast.
I do love Hot Pursuit first. Then when I saw Rivals, I knew it was a true successor of Hot Pursuit. Sadly, not many people liked it for some reason, since I enjoyed most of it. Then comes Heat. We don't need to say about Heat.
ye i loved rivals to
Most wanted and Rivals, Hot Pursuit
*The real Ps3/Xbox360 OGs*
YES. when he was shit talking most wanted I was like wtf. most wanted was my game but when rivals came out I never got off it
I still have my old ps3 and sometimes log back into rivals. Still good 👌
HELL YEAH!🤘
*cries in wii U*
Fr. I loved playing most wanted on the 360
This is a very controversial take but Most Wanted 2012 is my favorite NFS of all time if I'm being honest. I played the game so much when it came out and I love the soundtrack. Also one of the first games I played that had the Agera R.
Most Wanted 2012's visuals were also phenomenal, the way the game looked felt so fitting for the game and the cut scenes when you started races were so mesmerizing. It felt like you were on drugs, especially with the black, white, and red color scheme.
The police chases in the game were also really fun for me. Building up the highest score I could, making cops follow me into a jump, or smashing into road blocks was a blast for me.
I know people thought unlocking cars by finding them was really bad but I really enjoyed it. I have a short attention span when it comes to singleplayer games and having to search for cars gave me an incentive to explore the map, nothing was more fun for me than accidentally stumbling upon a super car.
The game will stay a top five NFS in my heart at least :)
Same
same bro
The map was nice too
I don't think that's a rare take at all. I think the lack of customization hurt it 4 some.I love HP & Rivals also
It was fun af. I had it on Xbox 360 and played the hell of it.
All i'm gonna say is that i pretty much quit playing NFS series after NFS Shift, and here i am years later finding myself making strategies for the night rep grind in Heat....watching videos about it.
Great vid, Bud!
Bladed: I loved rivals.

I just finished payback and even though it was free, I want my money back.
Driving the cars around was fun tho.
I literally saw a comment with the same exact energy on Angry Joe's review of it lol.
I heard that it's free on PSN Store or whatever, but even then, so many people hate it. Since it's still trying to bait people to pay money with the crappy lootbox upgrade system.
I deleted payback off my Xbox
Hold your horses, free???
Where??
@@burneracc2567 it was October (Or September’s) free game for play station plus. But the amount of not worth it is insane.
@@BladedAngel that’s my main issue with it. “Oh, sure you can try and grind tf out of our game. Orrrr you can buy these loot boxes and possible, just possible, expedite the process.”
What sucks is the “shipment drops” (loot boxes) only contain money, trade cards, and cosmetic stuff like under glow. So I still need to use the broken ass lottery system for these damn yugioh cards
NFS MW 2012 had the best multiplayer out of all the NFS games. I loved how once the entire lobby picked an event we all had to race to get to the starting point. There was real sense of community instead of just having random players driving by you in the street. Everyone was involved and the different events were great.
You're speaking so much fucking facts bro I played so much multiplayer on that game dude I used to go on like PS party chat and then play that one game where like go all around the map doing different things and challenges she was fun as fuck
Public servers are kinda a pain in the a*s to deal with tho, the only thing players do now-a-days is be tryhard's and take eachother out non-stop, and another thing that sucked: Hennessey, Hennessey, Hennessey, the Venom GT was everywhere, if you drove a Car like an Aventador, you basically lost already, no car had a chance after it got added
i played 2005 in 2015 multiplayer never existed for me
You mean need for speed world had the best multiplayer 😂😂😂

Update: I recently finished it and yeah, it's not AMAZING, but it's not bad either, I actually had fun finding and upgrading all the cars. Was kinda frustrating at the beginning but then I got used to it and could win the hardest races with ease
Is that what you play these games for? Also i can understand that if there was more because i really looked forward to a MW remaster and got that thing with like 5-10 soundtracks that play on repeat and free cars so that we can play our own nfs version of GTA.
@@JinYo265 I really don't see how most wanted is worse than 2015 or payback. At least it wasn't a buggy mess, tuning card crap or something like that. And Heat A+??? God damn, expectations really arent high for this series, are they? It being an unoptimized hell was reason enough not to play it. It's a joke that Forza Horizon 4 runs smoothly at 4k max settings while heat at high settings is completely struggling. I'd rather play loading screen simulator than anything released after hot pursuit except for most wanted.
@@Brandon0406 get your nostalgia goggles outta here, we don't buy games for graphics (sadly, Forza doesn't care) but heat's gameplay, progression system, customisation and variety is that great
@@user-mx1fq6qm6i the gameplay may be not that bad but some systems like losing all of your honestly earned money to the cops or having to drive from one end of the map to another is just plain lazy and stretches the game unnessecarily. Grinding levels for the next mission is stupid too. Especially when the story is crap. Stop praising an average at best game just because is has done some things right. I had more fun with Forza than with all NfS titles I played together. An if I cared about graphics that much, I wouldn't call Horizon 2 the best from the three I've played cause it isn't even available on PC. Again, to hell with EA, greed and rushed games. Either release a good product or nothing. But as long as people like you keep buying everything they throw at you, nothing will change.
Edit: WTF did YT do with my comment? It looks completely f'd up.
@@Brandon0406 As much as I am a Forza fan, I can't help but feel like the quality of the horizon series went downhill from the legendary horizon 1. FH4 is stupidly repetitive and I got burnt out of it really quickly. About NFS heat, It has the same system for the night sessions as NFS rivals, and it gets me really excited (mainly because I know that if I die to cops, it's my fault for either not being good enough, or I made a stupid desicion). In FH4, you get everything handed to you, and that's why I got burnt out. In NFS heat, you don't need to fast travel anywhere (the map really isn't that big, btw), and I discovered most of the map (and most of it's charm) travelling between races. The story is kinda cringe but it got it's appeal and I liked it quite a bit. There's pretty much no sign of EA in this game, aside from the story being a little to short.
NFS heat is the revival for the franchise. God bless to the team that made that game.

NFS most wanted was the game that got me into racing games , i was really young when i played it so it was really cool to me getting to drive all these cool cars and as a 8 year old kid the progression was pretty fun, you got to race someone in a better car than you and if you won, you kept it. so for that it will always be S tier

I remember the challenge races it had too. Those were tough!
To me, heat had a similar movie like feeling to it. Just racing down the street with your friends when the police come in and chase you feels like something out of fast and furious. I like it when racing games have the kind of feeling that they could be made into movies!
Too bad its not on Steam like all the other NFS games.

Iam one of the few that dint enjoy as much as a lot of the community did and is because i wanted it to be like the OG 2005 but still iam happy that a lot of people had fun with the game overall i just wish it would've been like 2005. Personally i would buy it just as a collection for Racing games

Exactly it was my first need for speed game I played it on my PS Vita that I begged for from my parents it was such an incredible experience bro fucking love that game to death
I loved Most Wanted 2012. I used to play it with my friend and we liked the fact that we were handed supercars. It felt sandboxy. Free. And how can you ignore the sounds? Hate the game all you want. I understand your criticisms. But you cannot ignore the sounds.
I wish they could just reuse the old story instead of no story at all. But yeah, it's enjoyful.

I know this comment is two years old but I completely agree with you, I still cant believe this guy ranked "the run" better then mw2012. I just kinda feel as if people shit on mw2012 because it bears no similarities to mw2005, which is a legitimate argument, however its not a reason to trash the game. The sense of a free, lived in open world was similar to gta in my opinion, and the only racing game that comes close is Forza.
Huh, 2015 is one of the best stylistic entries. The atmosphere of emptiness, forgetability and melancholy was hitting home
Nfs Hot Pursuit 2010 had the perfect vibe of the old nfs games from the 90s, you just have to add trance music to the game and the experience will be fully complete, also Hot Pursuit 2010 was the inpiration for the 2014 NFS movie
I remember I used to play NFS most wanted with my dad almost everyday. He was even on the leaderboard at one point. Thank you for including it as it brought back many childhood memories
My uncle had a black GT with blue stripes in that game it was beautiful,And that’s what made me fall in love with the 2005 mustangs and the sound of that 3v 4.6 was fucking mean,my first love for cars was a camaro when I saw it in transformers, but that mustang will always have a place in my heart
Same with me it was the first nfs game I ever played
The old Need for Speed Most Wanted was different in a good way of course. The newer 2012 Need for Speed Most wanted was just too generous by just giving away cars for you to find and drive for free except for the ones on the wanted list like the Aventador for example.

I agree

NFS Most Wanted is hands down my favorite need for speed to date. I don’t know it is just because I didn’t play the old games but it was genuinely the most fun I’ve ever had playing a racing game the online speed lists with other people were what really made it so fun for me but ig I could see how from a old NFS player’s perspective how they wouldn’t like it because it broke off of the core gameplay of most of the other games
Hope you play Most Wanted 2005

I really only play Rivals, i have maxed it out, and even got me a dlc. the cops however are brutal, and it gets worse the higher your heat level. Can only imagine how it felt to be the final boss in the final police mission. The last missions are extremely hard, but the cop one is definitely harder since the racer is just brutally quick. No way your catching up to him unless either he crashes, or you use nitro. Definitely underrated. Definite S-tier in my opinion
I'm so glad to see a good overall rating for rivals, definitely my favourite need for speed.
One major problem with the current NFS franchise: *BRAKE TO DRIFT* ; oh why does it even exist.
And also the fact that Blackbox got cancelled
No Limits players: *crying in swipe down to drift*
I've been seeing this complaint a lot, especially regarding the leaked footage of NFS 2021. I just want to know why people dont like it?
honestly heat allowed you to have a choice between brake to drift or gas to drift and I loved that.
@@mateominiati5256 Brake to drift is fine...its just the NFS games since NFS 2016 have made drifting and afterthought. It just doesn't feel good at all. It feels great in Hot Pursuit. All they'd have to do is copy paste.
@@UnBR0k3enAngel Alright thanks. I was wondering because Rivals had Brake to drift, and was hell of fun. They completely botched all handling in 2015, and they have been slowly coming back with payback and heat
Most wanted 2012 is one of my favourite games. I understand it has no story really and shouldn’t be titled “Most Wanted”. However, the game imo has a perfect ratio of freedom and goals. I love just driving around listening to the amazing car sounds in that game, appreciate a 360 game that still looks good, get a rush if I drive for ages without crashing, and all the time I’d enjoy the little bits of progress that didn’t force you to not feel free. (Eg I loved trying to break all the gates)
Yes. Can't forget the soundtrack.
Yes if one has never played the og MW then ya
@@aadityarohit3331 I've played the og MW and loved both!
MW2012 was fun to drive around in. The actual gameplay alone was fun. And god, the Online Speedlists? Those were the most fun I've ever had in a NFS game! Also - my gosh the soundtrack!
One of my favourite games, pure fun
I love NFS The Run, I love the atmosphere of that game
I'm currently replaying NFS 2015 and I know everyone craps on it for valid reasons but to me the featuring of Nakai-San, Magnus Walker & most importantly Ken Block (may he rest in peace) was insane for a young car enthusiast like me back in 2015. It was also at the same time I got my first gaming PC so I was all in. It certainly has its flaws but once the story is over the game is fun, and the graphics were very beautiful Dice really made a beautiful game.
I also wanna add that while I have more than 1000 hours in heat, the graphics are atrocious during the day and the optimization on PC is horrible.
I have Nfs 2015 but I can’t grapple it’s concept I think when ghost Studios took over most of nfs we entered the dark ages but some of them were decent
Most wanted 2012 was my favorite game. The free roam running from the cops was so much fun.

Somehow this game managed to be a terrible need for speed game, but at the same time just be a fun little racing game. i played a little bit and didnt take it too serious, and i had a lot of fun as long as i didnt think about how terrible some of those mechanics are for a full size game. If you think of it as a 20$/€ game instead of a 60 game its fine. i mean you literally get money for getting caught by the police
Agreed
He sounds so happy when it got to nfs heat, it made me think about getting the game
Good game but ea cut the support so fast
Bro get it. I gave it a chance and now I'm addicted. I can't stop playing it. It made me want to get every single car and customize them how I want. I have 60+ cars and they're all carefully crafted. It's so much fun man, especially once you get really good at it and start smoking everyone online lol.
dude i downloaded it and was addicted from start to finish. literally my only issue with it was the cringy cheesey lines the characters would say. everything else was perfect. especially the customization. the customization is fucking crazy
Best need for speed since black box hands down. I set every car to grip and they handled perfectly, was completely blown away about finally being able to turn and not super drift everywhere lol sadly it'll probably go down hill since EA gave the game back to Criterion (the studio that almost killed the franchise). Only hope is that some of the devs from Heat can help make more racing games going forward. Heat is the Underground 2 of these days.
@@DurkinDurks its that good! Wow i never knew people liked the game so much, thanks for the stories and tips!

FINALLY someone else who likes rivals. I also played after single player was introduced and I love the open world and not having to start an event to get into a chase. The jumps and speed cameras are also a lot of fun.
Playing most wanted 2012 in 2021, upscaling the game to 1440p and using mods, this is one of the best looking need for speed games to ever be released. It's very clean graphically and Lacks a lot of the graphical clutter the new games have, the soundtrack is also spectacular, and the r&d put into car exhaust noises really speaks to how well put together need for speed most wanted 2012 was. I agree the progression system is garbage but the map design is great and the car list is as well.
My childhood game, underground and most wanted fanboys really buried it in the dirt.
I never bought 2012 at full price. I always thought it was worth the money. Idk what it is about it, but I just enjoyed the simplicity and driving experience. If you take the fact that it's supposed to be a NFS game, but rebrand it. I think it would have done much better.

Did any one remember need for speed carbon? That game will always be my favorite game on Xbox 360. The territories and the customization of the cars and your crew was so cool to me. The boss races were downhill mountain passes and it always reminded me of an old anime called initial d
Yup, a childhood favourite of mine too.
Carbon, underground 2, and the original most wanted are my favorite arcade racing games.
most wanted is the best
Yeah, but this video was talking about "modern" NFS though.
And to educate some people who think that MW 2005 & Carbon was the last good NFS series, but not even trying the modern NFS series
Carbon is still tied with UG2 as my favorite NFS games. Heat is #3 (never played og MW). The utilization of crews in Carbon was S-tier for sure, and the territory takeover was engaging. Customization was a step below UG2 imo, but it was still great. My biggest gripe with Heat honestly is that the whole "crew" storyline was pointless. I wish we could have our "crew" actually be in the night races with us, and provide help like they did in Carbon.

I picked up Heat on launch as a curious Forza player wanting to check out NFS. Good video, though I respectfully disagree and think you’re super wrong in regards to MW2012. 2015 was NOT a better and more fun experience than MW2012. I just think 2012 was a great Burnout Paradise sequel, especially with the way the multiplayer was set up, and the physics were on par with HP2010 imo. The progression sucked, but the game was still way more enjoyable than 2015 to me. Also the city definitely isn’t “reused from The Run” lol, that point made zero sense. If anything the map is just Paradise City version 2.0.
Based take regarding Rivals though, that game is overhated and definitely better than 2015 but totally not a better version of HP2010, it had a ton of bugs and the physics were extremely glitchy at times. HP2010 was perfect and super polished!
MW2012 has that weightless handling because weight reduction bro
Most Wanted 2012 was underrated in the actual gameplay and soundtrack. I loved the graphics and gameplay, and the car engine sounds are astoundingly amazing. Best sound design yet.
I actually enjoyed MW2012 so much, it even got my friends who aren't car nerds and NFS fans to play even during lunch breaks at school lmao. The game isn't about the story, but its more of the fast paced and arcade like experience, the game you go to just to relieve your stress quick lol.
Yeah, and although I am sure nostalgia and Hype played into factor in regards to my opinion, NFSMW2012 was really interesting, and overall a good time. The vibe was just really bright, colorful and fun. Although the progression overall made the game worse, it was a really interesting idea and made me more appreciate the cars for their uniqueness and less so performance, because you could get some of the best cars right away. Although it was less traditional as a NFS game, it was pretty bold in its ideas and had a really fun and positive vibe, with the occasional artistic twist.
What would’ve made mw2012 a good game is if it had a different name and a little bit harder progression system
I remember playing Most wanted 2012 at a friends and at the time it was an alright game but then i got it again a couple years ago and as you said getting the cars like you do really ruined it for me it's one of the things that makes car games like this enjoyable you play x amount of races work on the mediocre car you start off with and then after hrs, days of wins and losses you go to the dealer or whatever and slap down the dough and unlock one of those shiny new hypercars and listen to that new engine and it feels amazing
