They're professionals but somehow had no escape plan? This sounds like they just and hired a bunch of foreign mercenaries to blame it on to hide their own ambitions.
Exactly. Haitians are not innocent victims of foreigners. Haitian elite are wicked.
Not foreign mercenaries as the 2 "Americans" and some of the others were born in Haiti.
They probably intended to cross the border into the Dominican Republic but that border was closed immediately and they did not have a back-up plan
@@KelsaRavenlock this is CIA local asset set up 101... although the USA has no issue with sacrificing their own, having assets with local ties who can "blend in easily" is always preferred. Local assets are more "disposable"... remember that movie Body of Lies? Those things happen more often than we care to imagine.
I believe the Clintons had something to do with this.
If they're "professional assassins", how were they caught so easily?!
Lol most of them didn’t speak the language
Maybe because they do to their experience knew that they should surrender, because a gun fight would kill them due to the number of police officers
Thats just it- they were trained amateur's and it was easy for them when Moise's security did not argue with them
Quite simple: their exfiltration didn't work... Extracting this many people needs decent logistics behind enemy lines and there's a lot that can go wrong... Plus, it could be that their boss screwed them over so that he doesn't need to pay them in full...
No man is invincible.
This is a Nightmare to our brothers in Haiti.
@iam_marwa Exactly. Thanks for your concern brother.
Even if this president was giving me corrupt vibes, I can understand the the uncertainty of what comes next might be worse. He got elected & took office only a year after due to election issues...thus why the president argued his mandate started when he moved in office as President, not when elected.
A different standard to all the presidents that had come before him
Which has zero bearing on the crime. You don't assassinate a president over a political dispute.
He was not elected and took office a year after. The first elections were cancelled due to fraud allegations. A year later new elections took place with a new board and he won again. He didn't win in the first elections.....

Deal with your own problems and don't beg US for $$$$. We have our own issues
Hello Haitian. Can you please clarify us why he didn't leave office when Haiti's superior judicial council declared his term was over?
Also what can you say about Moise dissolving the parliament?
Just so you know, I'm not implying anything. Just an ignorant outsider to the issue who's looking to get some perspective.
The killers apparently gave him an opportunity to remain alive if he agreed to step down, but he said no
They would have still killed him. It said he was severely tortured. This was personal. They were most likely trying to see how much more they could humiliate him. Regardless of his answers he would have been killed .With no head of the Supreme Court, couple with the suspension of parliament creating a unique situation where the fired prime minister can take over immediately to create “stability.” My bet is that the current in term president definitely was involved. I feel like he was like, “you’re going to humiliate me and give my position away permanently? Not only am I know going to not leave office, I am going to kill you and your family and become president.” I think multiple governments officials were involved. I wouldn’t be surprised if foreign interest was involved in President Moise death.
He was about signing a piece of paper... His wife talked and I am sure she's bshtting people, so she can clean the true assassins. Otherwise, her family is in danger
Haiti has one of the lowest Covid stats, FYI
let me guess, because they don't even bother counting cases ?
Would love to see you guys cover the arrest of former South African president Jacob Zuma. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on over there.
He has been incarcerated.. There has been a few protests by relatively small groups of the ex president's supporters. But the violent revolt his supporters and he himself threatened has not occurred.
Meanwhile the suspended secretary General of the ruling party, Ace Magashule, has predictively lost his case wherein he accused the decision to suspend him as being unconstitutional. He was suspended due to over 20 cases of fraud, corruption and outright theft that was filed against him.
It took nearly 20 years to bring the former president to justice so despite the recent arrest there is a general anger amongst the public over the speed at which the current legal system is working.. with an apparent bias existing for members of the ruling party.
He was corrupt and can't even pronounce numbers i don't know how he ever got to that posiion but he shouldn't have

This seems like the Murphy's law in action... No president; no successor; person who was chosen as PM not even sworn in.... raging pandemic and no vaccine program.. Hopes and prayers for the people of Haiti
Murphy's law would imply coincidence, rather than deliberate intent by the power responsible for organizing the assassination.
Seems a bit fishy for the Supreme Court to say “you’re done being President” and then the head of the Supreme Court gets to be President. 🤔
Mosïe's term was nearly over but he had already made moves to illegally extend his administration beyond the limit in their constitution. That would sensibly put it in the court's responsibility to deal with Mosïe.
Also, the court didn't write the amendments suggesting they were the line of succession. That was legislators.

Reality: 🤷♂️
The people of Haiti didn't want him dead, they were led to believe he wasn't doing a good job so they wanted him out. No one gets assassinated like this just because the people didn't like you. He was in the process of making changes that would stop a lot of people from using Haiti as a way to get and stay rich. In his speeches he never said names but he spoke about those groups of people who were using the country and he said for them to stop calling him about what they want and that he was only for the interest of the people. There are people getting guns into Haiti and they are using those guns for political kidnappings and now killing the president. He had information on a lot of people who are taking advantage of Haiti in a major way and he was trying to put a stop to it. Such a confused situation tends to only truly resolve when the military (or barring the existence of clearly established military, the local militia) argue or fight among themselves until they settle on supporting some arrangement or another.
I have to assume that both Claude Joseph and Ariel Henry will be suspected of having a role in the assassination, since it kept the former in a position of power with the ability to attempt to override previously existing checks and balances, while the later by his turn can claim to have more legitimacy for the role.
One could argue that parties with an interest in destabilizing Haiti would also be suspects, and I guess that I agree. But Haiti seems to have been doing fine destabilizing itself without help for most of its history, and this time is by no means an exception.
Military governments when succesful just put fear and death over the population, they dont truly resolve anything since they dont help with the underlying problems of society
