- The plaintiff rented commercial space from the defendant to open a skateboarding park with a half pipe, but he says the defendant kept changing the deal on him. After the defendant kept upping the price, the plaintiff claims the defendant illegally pushed him out of the space, so he’s suing for the return of his security deposit, as well as lost wages and wasted time. The defendant insists the plaintiff told him the space was for storage, not a skateboarding park. The defendant is countersuing for damages, construction, lost rent, lost wages, and wasted time.

I think the defendant just thought that he’d win because nobody would ‘take the kids seriously’. I think the plaintiffs seemed pretty pleasant and willing to work with the defendant.

How can you get mad at a group of young people who seek out a way to do what they like while being honest about their intentions. They aren't out skating in public walkways (no hate bikes, skateboards, roller blades are transportation) but they are paying to NOT disrupt others. Great young men..Crappy old man!
