They key is to be agressive with it, I live way below my means and it sucks, but I know by 2040 I have a chance at retiring and that’s worth every penny for me since I’m 24
Everyone buys bitcoin at the price they prefer. But yes I agree with you, only sell bitcoin for the amount of money you need, even selling a set % per year is dumb because any money not in the best store of value is depreciating.
great content Dinny, I too will be borrowing against my Bitcoin in 2030 as a strategy to enjoy the asset without selling it. Leaving it for my kids, grandkids etc to enjoy a decent standard of living.
I agree with your perspective. I am building a bag right now and have been since 2021, so as you imagine, it is not a big bag. I do DCA in regularly, and do plan to DCA out small amounts during the bull run after the ATH is passed with the plan to DCA back in on the back side when the price is below the first DCA out sell price. Mainly because of the higher lows and higher highs that BTC historically exhibits. Purely a bag building effort for this next cycle. I hope to have enough comfort at that point to HODL and add during dips. 2031 is my goal before I plan to use it as a supplement to a "retirement life", in whatever form that takes.
Hello Dinny. I want to get out of my job one day. So tired of the daily grind & hustle. Looking forward to retiring on btc one day! I'm in nearly to .52 btc and set a whole coiner goal before the halving coming up.

I'm trying to work a strategy and been able to get to be a whole coiner. But my btc maxi friend tells me to have a minimum of 5 and get up to 10. What is your suggestion?

Bitcoin will always be worth getting. It’s going up forever, Laura. At 100k, at 500k, at 1M it’ll be worth it, just a lot less than it is now. Bitcoin increases the value of work in the present compared to the future.

However I still buy BTC every week and it goes straight to a hardware wallet (no paper wallets anymore-this is the future!) I subscribed and will watch some more videos before bed , be good my dude 👍

When the time comes you wont need to sell your bitcoin.
So never sell your bitcoin but borrow against it when you retire BUT how do you repay the loan if you are retired and BTC doesn't give you cashflow like investment properties and share dividends.
There is a basic level of self responsibility required at the moment but like with all tech the entrepreneurs will make it all dummy proof in the near future
@bitcoinwithdinny Very nearly lost all my bitcoin recently, by forgetting the password and pin. It took a week to figure it out, but I eventually got access to the wallet. It was a good lesson, and thankfully it worked out for the most part. Still locked myself out of a couple of other crypto wallets, for now. Thankfully, not too much in them and eventually I will remember what they were. I had them written down, but they disappeared, I think I know where, but that's a long story. There's estimates of up to 6 million Bitcoin lost to forgotten passwords. It's a bit of a weak link in crypto, that, and that it can be hacked and stolen, although not so easily from a hard wallet. But you still have to keep that wallet in a safe place with your passwords. And you have to keep a backup.

You'll eventually have to sell some to service the loan after you die. But otherwise yes, I plan to do the same.
