  • This is a video of Lewis practising the reversing exercise before his practical LGV driving test. The reverse is carried out using the new DSA reversing dimensions. The vehicle he is carrying this out on is a band new MAN 15.250. A 15 tonner that is also carrying 5 tonnes of water. This is split into 5 IBC's. The secret to getting this right is all about positioning. Lewis pretty much has this one covered. The training was supplied by EP Training Services, based in Surrey. They have been teaching people to reverse correctly for over 35 years. If you need LGV driver training in Surrey then contact EP on 01372 450 800

Cones are in the wrong place for a Cat C reverse. Distance from end of parking bay to B cone should be half the vehicle length

you should have your front end inbetween the cones, you were too far back from cone A and A1.

      Thanks Dan
      Well pointed out
It is still OK to start a bit back from A and a1
The examiner would also have brought them forward if they were short

@@dan9471 that I can also agree on. We have our own test centre now and our own people are approved to deliver the reverse test. It’s just the driving part we still do at the local government test centre
