Trondheim S to Trondheim Airport Værnes Train Journey in the Snow | SJ Nord Class 76

(4K, 2024, Right-Hand Side) A complete winter train journey from Trondheim Central to Trondheim Airport Værnes, aboard an SJ Norge (SJ Nord) Class 76 train, operating the 14:17 R70 service of the Trøndelag Commuter Rail on the Nordlandsbanen, on Monday 5th February 2024. Of all the train videos I have done, including the Bergensbanen, this is the one time I recorded the train approaching the station while it was actively snowing, and blowing into my eyes! Since visibility was poor, and most of the single-platform stations on this part of the line are on the right-hand side, I opted to sit on that side of the train facing inland, rather than into the fjord, as there was not much to see as a result. I have no regrets making that choice, it's really beautiful - the houses, buildings, cars, countryside, and stations, covered in heavy snow makes for a really stunning short train journey. Journey time from Trondheim to the Airport was 39 minutes. We also pass through the station at the village of Hell, a very popular tourist spot among English-speakers for a selfie! I will definitely return to Trondheim some day to ride the full Nordlandsbanen to Bodo! Calling at:
