He may not be the absolute best, but he's 1: consistent, 2: on time, and 3: teachable. 4: if he has a question, he's not going to let it sit, he'll ask. He'll get there.
I have never been short on a pour but I did have a few slow trucks and cold joints. For a while I ordered a little extra so the driver could drop it at a homeless shelter that was improving their grounds. You would be surprised at how many finishers found themselves homeless in Florida. I bought them the tools to finish the concrete I had left over. A yard at a time to make the grounds better and give the men a purpose was a great feeling. It helped that the concrete plant was on the same road as the homeless shelter and they would get extra concrete from other contractors.
You can only work with children for so long. I love how Ryan is willing to pick up the slack but as a business owner he could never have a second crew with guys like Eric, Franny and Tino. Bugs could have ran a 2nd crew, and that’s what’s frustrating to me about losing bugs.
Negative energy is contagious man if your going to be grouchy and miserable all day stay home. I love every day i go to work because of the crew i’m with.

Concrete season is about over but I met a customer who's going to give me a winter job in construction and handyman type stuff. Super stoked praise jesus for keeping ya boy working❤
I would keep Ray on for a couple weeks more at the end to wash detail and wax all the trucks and equipment and put him first on the list for winter work like snow removal and such . He's the one who's always there on time and comes when you call . He may not be the sharpest unite in the drawer but he's there when you need him and maybe see if your mecanic can use him as extra help threw the winter .

With experience in training people (not in concrete) if they don’t get it the first 2 times being polite, you gotta get on them… then hopefully they remember.

Bugs was let go like mid summer not closer to the end of the season like it was portrayed. Society and men in general have gone soft, Ryan is no different he let's his emotions dictate his day, some of the most awful people in life were "succesful". I'm not calling Ryan awful but because he's viewed as a successful person doesn't mean his employees have to put up with his drama, I would've gotten sick of the Hollywood team along time ago.
