I may not see myself using newer Chase Bliss stuff (I have an old Gravitas which I like very much, btw), but boy, am I glad that it exists. It makes me so damn happy. I don't know why exactly, but it really does. It's like these pedals make the world a better place by just being here. Please never stop doing what you're doing, Joel. You're awesome
If I could suggest two things for a possible third edition of this already AMAZING pedal it would be; 1) add send and return jacks so only micro loop could be processed with other effects, 2) let people choose between the Tape Length behavior from Mood 1 and the new type. Personally I feel its the only point where Chase Bliss missed out, the old Tape stutter effect with Length knob was awesome
Let’s not get all wet here kids. Realize the mood ll is basically freezing a sound and midi is doing all the heavy lifting. Not to mention the talent behind the camera.

You don't use a MIDI Box (Chase Bliss, Disaster Area, or similar), but it makes hooking things up a lot easier. Disaster Area also makes TRS-5pin cables compatible with our pedals.

Synth Mode works kind of a like a sampler. The input from the Guitar is "captured" by MOOD, and then manipulated to change pitch by MIDI keyboard input.
So I only have the Keystep 32, which doesn't have that middle CC controller thing, is that gonna be a problem or am I worried about nothing? Awesome feature lol
Oh wait nevermind, for anyone else wondering, you can change the individual CC parameters on the Keystep 32 as well, just in a computer software instead of the middle rotary knob section, so if I'm right then everything should still be possible on the 32 key original as well :)
Yep! Keystep is not necessary. Any device capable of sending MIDI note information should work, whether that be from a MIDI keyboard, or from your DAW, etc.

I just tried the synth mode and while it is totally cool, it seems to work a bit temperamental. Some notes latch and keep playing, some others don’t. It is a bit random, it reacts a bit flimsy. I am using a CBA MIDIbox and a Sequential Take 5.
Our pedals do not follow any TRS MIDI standard, so standard 5pin - TRS cables usually won't work. For the most hassle-free setup, we recommend using a MIDI Box. If you want to use a single cable, make sure it is wired for Ring active with a floating Tip. If you have any further questions/concerns reach out to help@chasebliss.com

Depending on the MIDI device. Some will work, some won't. It is recommended to use a MIDI Box to ensure compatibility with all MIDI devices.

Yup! As long as your Morningstar unit has a MIDI Out port that can pass along the notes from the MIDI keyboard

Meh. I am okay with the original. I'd pay for an upgrade, but not an entire new pedal.
