"im not a gear junkie" - Literally has a fairchild in the background
It's one of the clones
heeeees a TOTAL gear junkie.
😂
Right!...and a DW Fearn VT-7 just casually sitting under a plant. Ahhh...the lies we tell ourselves. LOL!
on par with "you can use any mic so we used a vintage u67"
we use analog gear coz we like it, not coz we need to use to get somewhere
Very cool video but this is far beyond what i call a home studio. 2 things I'd really love to see and I bet most of your viewers would too. Small home studios that are just for hobbyists, and videos on how exactly real studios like this one actually get work done. Starting from the very beginning to the end result. How do they get ideas and direction? I have a tiny home hobby studio and I'd love to see other peoples ones just to compare. We don't have much money so we don't have much in the way of high end anything. My most expensive mic is my Warm Audio WA 47 jr. My pre-amp is a Behringer stereo one and my compressor is an ART Pro VLA 2. Cheap stuff that I can afford. But I record with it and make music. I bet there are a lot of people out there like me.
I know a lot of men who enjoy ANALogue gear because they find it so warm and enjoyable!!!
I use analog gear because I don’t have the knowledge or talent (apparantly) to get my plugins to sound as good. I’ve only been at this for 20 years but I can’t get the same results with plugins. Hasn’t worked for me personally.
UAD
Moved to Analog from plugins because it sounds the way I want it and it didn’t with plugins so understood!
@@thaexception3406 that’s exactly what I’ve experienced as well.

Pretty sure that's an Avid S3 control surface, which is sadly discontinued.
