- In a special series of Curator's Corner from the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum, John Popp and museum director Jim Supica take a look at this historical Colt Single Action Army used by none other than Black Jack Ketchum.
Care to actually say anything about the COLT ? Serial number, where it was sold, what grade of engraving ? Was the engraving custom ?
Yes, SHOW the gun not these guys. If I can't read the engraving on the gun- you need to get closer.
Try watching forgotten weapons
Most definitely, I'm disappointed. Much like the NRA itself...
My grandpas super great grandpa was one of the sheriffs that arrested blackjack ketchum he was also friends with him
My grandma is related to Black Jack, would love to trade some stories if you have any
@@DenisMcInerny I wish I had some. All I really know is that they used to drink together in a bar in some different county where he I guess didn't have the authority to arrest him or he wasn't wanted there or something, but he ended up being one of the sherrifs that had him cornered in the cave trying to convince him to come out. Also my grandpa had the original picture of his hanging but his cousins husband ended up stealing it and probably selling it.
Love the grips...
no close up of the weapon? isn't this about the colt???
He's my grandfather
Hey he is my relative
Same here. If im not mistaken, he would be my grandmother's second cousin. One of his brothers I believe was her dad.
linkedmoo_man 12345 wow another ketchum out there?
I'm a relative as well! My Grandmas maiden name was Ketchum, and we heard stories of him growing up. His brother is my distant Grandfather I believe.
My grandpas super great grandpa was one of the sheriffs in clayton he was friends with blackjack and used to drink with him in the saloons and he was one of the ones that chased him to the cave our family used to own the original photo of the hanging but one of my grandpas cousins stole it from us amd sold it
Then i must be your relative. Unfortunately my last name was misspelled by my great grandfather in ww1 from Ketchum to Ketchem because my great grandpa didnt know how to spell. Tom would have been i believe my great great uncle. So relative what is your relation?
