It's very important you have a fertility doctor who really supports you through the whole proces. Mine always said, don't give up, keep trying; While everyone, family, friends, strangers were saying give up, it's not working, ... only my gynaecologist (and husband) were supportive. I have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter now; And I know the outcome could have been I ended up without children, but at least I knew I tried everything I could;
I have had two failed ivf transfers. I have two embryos left . I plan to transfer these two within the next few months. Hoping for a positive result .
I started infertility treatment in 2022. Since then I've done 2 medicated cycles, 3 IUIs, 5 IVF transfers of 6 embryos and all of which resulted in 3 chemical pregnancy's. Today I transferred my last embryo and I can't help but feel defeated. 31 with PCOS and only just diagnosed endo. so many surgeries, tears, pain and heartache. wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

After my transfer of 2 embryos I received a call from the nurse telling me I was not pregnant. She then said bye and hung up. There was no follow up no next steps. I was left without any support. This video was very helpful and informative.
Ugh I’m so sorry to hear that. Some people can be so insensitive to our journey
I went in for a scan and was told my baby no longer had a heartbeat. When I inquired about a follow-up, they told me they didn’t know I miscarried. When in fact their NP was the one that did the scan, the doctor was not notified. I noticed that they didn’t update my visit notes until weeks later. It took me a year to even attempt a third go.
I thought our first IUI would fail but it actually worked.. just found out this week 🥹❤️ hold onto hope but always advocate for your health and educate yourself.. like with these videos! Love your channel 😊
That is amazing! I’m always so happy when I hear iui’s working. Unfortunately I’m 12 iui’s in now (over 4 years 😢) and wish I moved to ivf sooner. I’m planning on doing IVF this year hopefully right after I get some dental work completed.

I started trying to get pregnant at 34 but doctors refused to do any tests or to see if I could get my eggs frozen. I had one blighted ovum and one chemical. Now I’m 37 going through my 2nd egg retrieval (got 2 euploids last time). AMH is 2.33. This is so frustrating and I wish the doctors had listened to me when I was younger instead of telling me to do it the old fashioned way. I just feel like all I’m doing is racing against time.
Wow you explained this beautifully! I wish you were my doctor, I’m traveling to Mexico to see a fertility specialist and he doesn’t explain almost anything to us. We’re actually traveling tomorrow morning to meet with a new doctor. Fingers crossed that this new DR can explain exactly why we’re struggling. The other one couldn’t even clarify that. 😢

Thank you for posting this video! We just went through our IVF retrieval and got 7 eggs, 4 matured, only one fertilized but didn’t make it to blast. We are devastated. 😞

So sorry to hear that. I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago. 6 eggs, 5 mature, 1 normally fertilized and became a blastocyst. Transfer did not result in a pregnancy. Still waiting for my doctor to reach out for our wtf meeting.

My first fet failed with a Euploid, my RE gave me a 80-90% chance of success with a Euploid luckily I had watched your videos.
I just got back from Cyprus where I had IVF treatment, I found out this morning it failed. I don't know why, I just asked what if at the time. Plus IVF videos put things into perspective,. Sometimes IVF 1st time failed. I feel disappointed, presently, I have get my head around it. To try again a month from now. I wished the clinic I used had paid more attention to me, and explained both positive & negative aspects to me, but they did not. I have use them again as I have donor banks with them. Plus they don't speak English making it harder to explain my concerns
I just had my first egg retrieval on Saturday and it was a complete fail as I ovulated before the retrieval. It happened sometime after my blood test 24 hours before the retrieval and the retrieval. It likely happened 2-3 hours before the procedure. I didn’t even know this was a thing that could happen. My Dr met with me to go over what might have happened and what we’ll change for next round.
I just had a failed cycle the other week, went from showing follicles to none a few days later so I stopped meds and have to wait for a FU with the doc. I've been obsessed with researching what might have happened with the IVF cycle..

This is a question about “breakaway dominant follicles.” I am 34F, with AMH: 2.65. I am on day 9 of stims in my first IVF cycle. I had a “breakaway” follicle by day 4 that has hogged a lot of the medication. I started with 14 follicles and now my follicles are all growing at different rates. We are giving it a few more days but I have about 3-5 they are looking like they’ll be at the right size by trigger. I am not giving up hope on this cycle but am having a bit of a wtf moment. I haven’t read too much about large dominant follicles messing up the cohort. Do you see this ever? Has anyone here had something similar? Would love your thoughts!
Thawed a 5AA embryo and 20% of the cells died. We did the transfer anyway and it didn’t work. Do you think it not working had anything to do with how many cells died? What would cause cells to die like that when being defrosted?
Hi, I am 35 but was 34 when I went through egg collection, I have unexplained infertility. I have gone through 3 FETs all had an initial positive pregnancy but then my beta hCG levels drop and all three considered unviable. I’m left feeling confused and heartbroken. We have 2 more frozen embryos from our 1st cycle but I am starting to loose hope. We can probably only afford one or maybe 2 more IVF cycles, would you recommend genetic testing next time?
I was scheduled to take my HPT after the TWW following an IUI cycle but I’m pretty sure I just started my period 😢😢I’m pretty devastated. Not sure if I should try another round of IUI or jump straight into IVF
Should everyone who’s on a medically controlled transfer cycle have a trigger shot as part of their protocol? I was on a medically controlled cycle and I only had progesterone suppositories (no PIO at all) and no trigger shot and our transfer failed with a perfect 4AA embryo
If a woman is 44-46 and has fibroids and pcsos, can eggs be taken from the cysts to be fertilized?

I’m 36 y/o and recently went through ivf. We got 19 eggs, 12 matured, and all embryos arrested in development. This was unexpected based on my pre retrieval testing and my doctor is offering us 50% off the normal second retrieval rate to do it again. He explains it as a fluke and says normally, when done again, we get the more expected results if done again. I asked if he was going to change the protocol in any way and he said no because he was happy with the amount of eggs collected. Would you suggest the same based on the information you know?
I’m sorry this happened and I really hope by now you achieved a different outcome.
If it helps… I too had what is called Total Fertilisation Failure (TFF). It happens to 2-3% of people, uncommon and hardly any research or understanding. I was absolutely devastated and the last thing we ever expected! 14 eggs collected, 8 mature, all had arrested by the time they called me the next day.
Fast forward a few months to allow for the new sperm and egg cycles in our bodies, this time we were advised to use calcium ionophore in our ICSI cycle (it basically helps the sperm release it’s nucleus into the egg) therefore helping fertilisation. 2 out of 4 fertilised normally. 2 embryos. One later stopped growing. The other failed implantation but this is only the beginning in us truly understanding what works for us and how the treatment is to be adapted. As the doctor in the video says, the data collected from previous cycles needs to be analysed to understand what needs to change. We cannot just do the same things over and over again only to get the same outcome so dont be afraid to speak up. See what your doctor says about Calcium ionophore. Look it up.

Are you also saying that if you don’t get a baby by your third transfer there should be cause for concern? Cuz I think you said by third transfer you have a 95% chance. Not sure I’m understanding how the % increases with each transfer ??
100 people do a transfer with a euploid embryo with a 65% chance of live birth = 65 people get pregnant and 35 people do NOT get pregnant after ONE cycle.
If those 35 people who did not get pregnant the first time do a 2nd transfer, there is STILL a 65% chance meaning that out of those 35, 23 people will end up pregnant. If you take the numbers from both rounds (65 from the first round and 23 from the second round, that is 88 people cumulative) So an 88% chance after the 2nd round.
If the remaining 12 people who still are not pregnant go on to a THIRD transfer, they also have a 65% chance. Approximately 7.8 (let’s say 7 people) get pregnant. Again, if you add all the numbers together from each cycle 65 + 23 + 7, you will have a 95 total people pregnant or a 95% chance after THREE euploid transfers.
43 failed IVF due to 3 aneuploidy embryos :( Anyone gone thru the same?
