My dad played accordion and my mom's dad played guitar and both he and my grandmother would yodle. One of the composers and musicians I regularly listen to from Europe is Andreas Vollenweider. I have 6 of his albums.

He has some old videos on you tube if you want to hear him. I grew up 30 miles north of New Ulm, Mn. the old time music capital of America. Now days the old time music in this area is being forgotten little by little. Most of my polka friends are not with me anymore. That is why your music means so much to me. Actually, the polka tradition lives in both country and tejano music. Spend some time in towns along the Rio Grande in Texas and you will hear it...
