So today we trapped a pigeon! watch the video to see how we trapped it!

Storm is such an awesome flyer! I love her big swooping wingstrokes, what a champ. Really makes those two look like great clumsy turkeys lol. I love the little tear mark on the lost bird, really beautiful

Thanks for continuing to post your videos. Quick question- my birds won’t fly away from the loft, and I have 16 birds. Would you suggest that I force them up? Or should I start doing 1 mile tosses to help them out. Majority of the birds are 5 months to 1 year old.
if they know where home is i would start tossing them, and keep moving distance out. i feel its better them scaring/stressing them
That was very exciting to see! To find out if the pigeon wants to get in or not... lots of pigeon thinking decision making in that one, if to enter into the trap or not.

i sent a lot of young birds to my friends loft to race because i was planning on moving to new property, so gave breeding boxes to new flyer

I'm a Noob, a Pigeon landed in my garage on my motorcycle hungry and tired, now he's home I guess cause he wont leave so I thought I may build a loft and perhaps get into it a little more! Very cool stuff! I was wondering, did you make your own loft? Out of everyone I've seen you got some real cool videos! Appreciate your talent- Hope you & your family are staying safe these days-

I have a silver/grey bar hen, she is beautiful and has paired up with a yellow bar male. I'm trying to figure out the possible outcomes of the chicks, should i separate them and try to find a matching male or keep them together?
Any suggestions on the outcomes?
when it comes to colours you best head over to adam archer pigeons, genetic is his thing!
@@ManeyPigeons ive looked but nothing on silver/grey the closest is ash red, ill try commenting and asking for a video on it.

na it only had a few there so no stress, those mites are hard to kill at the best of times
Maney Lofts try using Sevin dust. I used it on my chickens when they had lice/mites.
I lost mine a week ago .. she was spooked and ran away for 4 days i was on the roof looking for her everywhere , i asked everyone in my area if they seen her , i lost hope until in the 4th day i was on the roof and i saw her flying around and she basically crashed into the roof , she was fine but tired and hungry and very thirsty .. i got her and fed her and she is very fine right now .. her coming back was one of my happiest moments in my life. so returning the pigeon to her owner is always the best thing to do cos you might never know how sad they are for losing them

Could you make a video on what the numbers on the pigeon leg bands mean, where and how to get them made. I am in Pakistan. I want to get custom made leg bands for my pigeons with my number on them. Could you guide me?
here it is just the club name, year & then a number.
Live in easy Central Indiana. Had a hen from Michigan trap in at my loft. Called the guy who owned her. He said to keep her he was not driving that far to get her. He told me she was a good pigeon. I left her with my young birds and she flew around the loft with them and always trapped back in. About a month later she never returned to my loft. I always wondered if she went back to her home loft.

Hi mate how long do you keep new pigeons in the loft before letting them fly free?
depends if i bred them ill start trap training them soon as they go in for weaning, but if some one has given them to me maybe 2-3 months if old

HELP! Guys I have a question; 11 days ago in New York City road I saw a car hit a pigeon, since there was no traffic luckily there was no car behind. I picked he up her knee was busted poor think she was in pain trembling , I took her to home give some amount Tylenol mixed with Advil desolved inject from her throat then injury area cleaned put antibiotics and made a cast from him to ankle. I did call in the beginning to Wild birds in Manhattan but they said broken knee joint can’t heal they have to euthanize, I didn’t want to hear that if I have to take care of this life time I will. By the way as soon as I gave pain medication bird was so calm even started to make sounds, right next day she was just fine I didn’t let bird walk two days she is now still in cast, I think her joint may frozen which I am totally fine with that as long as she doesn’t feel pain and can survive. She is walking tipi toe but I tell you she clean herself washes, drinks and eats a lot, QUESTION: my apartment is at the 22nd floor. She keeps looking around files at home I only let her fly after couple hours she eats💕😜 once I take the cast out if I feel her leg is fine shall I open the window and let her go or just take care of her because she may die out with that injured leg ( because they said it won’t heal) what is your suggestions please ( by the way do you think if she goes flies come back after take a fresh air 🤔
If you keep her locked up and yours for a good 3 months and also a good view from your window there is a good chance she will stay! Sounds like your doing a great job!
Money thank you for the advice. I actually want her to fly stay wild. However under the condition she is in when she is flying and wants to land to a tree I think she is going to break her other leg. That’s what I am afraid of. In the one bedroom apartment in New York City it is difficult to keep pigeons. He is looking from window out side, and guess he knows the area well now

i contact the federation that is on the ring and they have a list of the birds number's and then can find the owners! its a great system!

Awesome care for the lost and weary bird. She will need that before she goes home. Isolate her cause she got mites. Put her in that carrier cage and pray her down for the mites. Hope you can contact the owner.

You can still fly them and take them down the road. Mike ganus has some real good pigeons but can be a little expensive. Easy to spend $5,000 for a pair from his best. He also has grandchildren a lot cheaper. Take it slowly be lots of mistakes on your way.
