As a heavy concert/live music/music festival goer…everyone should try out a European festival or concert. Fly to Madrid…fly to London…it’s such a different experience! So much love and unity!
why is Glastonbury special ? , one reason is that it it is not corporate and has an abundance of people on many levels who want it to work the crew are the backbone of this championed by Sir Michael Eavis a christain dairy farmer ,it is about giving and respect between us all , a small island of utopia Avalon is a place in the hearts and minds of humanity somewher in someset once a year ., bring your best self and make it happen participate and instigate Joy for a weekend at least ,and fill your heart

Everything about it is now corporate, from the pop headliners, the middle class crowd, the VIP bars for the rich and famous, the price of tickets, the festival selling out in 20 minutes, the glamping areas. It's turned into a party for rich kids who spend daddy's money there. About as corporate as you can get basically 😂
@@robertmead6606 what a load of bollocks, spoken from someone who didn’t go. Funny how people who slag the festival off always come out with the same cliches. I think the people who did go are better qualified to judge what it was like, wouldn’t you agree ?
@glastokev6082 I went in 1990, 1995, 1998, 2000 and 2001 mate, all of which were outstanding. I went a few years ago to watch the Cure i think it was 2019 and the festival had changed beyond belief. So I know what I'm talking about thankyou. It's not a patch on what it used to be. Not bollocks mate, simply fact.

People who went in the 70s would probably say it was better then than in the 90s and 2000s. Doesn’t make it a fact just an opinion. It’s way more safer now than it was back in the 90s. Pop music has always made an appearance at the festival over the years. Most of the glamping sites are outside of the festival and have no connection with the festival at all apart from Worthy View and Sticklinch. Some people need more home comforts especially older people. Should the festival not provide facilities for these people to attend if they so wish ? Doesn’t make it corporate if they do.
Arcadia was there. From inside and outside. And I believe the BBC have been told not to film in the SE Corner. True about Theatre & Circus though. Might have been a few glimpses if the walkabouts?

I went this year and it was the best week of my life. Even if you don't like the music, there's so much art and so many things to go and do. And you'll always find something you like, even if they aren't a big band or even on a stage. Disco turtle was one of my favourite things there and it was a walk about.

The festival was amazing. There's so much there other than the music. Yes, the audio was messed up and they did have a few slip ups in the lineup, it's still an amazing and beautiful festival.
The Brits have always done this better than we do in the States.

Glastonbury has tall barbed wire fences to keep the undocumented visitors out.
oh yes the crowd had the blow up boat of pretend illegals too, yet they were kept out.
The super fence has been in place since 2002 hardly anything new is it 🤦♂️. Never seen any barbed wire on it 😂.
