What Is A Travel System?

Do you need a travel system? Or a stroller? Or a buggy? Are they the same???

Tandem pushchair: has 2 seats or can be adjusted to have 2 seats behind and/or above each other
Side-by-side double pushchair: has 2 seats or can be adjusted to have 2 seats next to each other
Ultracompact stroller: lightweight buggy that (when folded) fits in the overhead compartment of an airplane according to the IATA guidelines
A carrycot is great because you should only have your baby in a car seat for 30 minutes at the time for the first month of your babies life. And they should not spend more than 2 hours at the time in a car seat when they are more than one month old. These rules are for their breathing and spine development. If you transfer the carseat from the car to the travel system, you extend the car seat time. You can also use the lie-flat position of the seat from your pushchair (if it has one) for your newborn baby. But the baby is better protected in a carrycot.
