This is a construction engineer unit. Lots of earthmoving equipment. 5 ton and 20 ton dumps, dozers, scrapers motor graders, track hoes, as well as other support equipment.

Don't forget those Oshkosh HEMTT's which are 15 ton trucks.
Actually,I think those Freightliner M920A2 or M920A3 MET's are categorised more than 20 ton trucks, the M915A2's-A3's and M916A2's-A3's themselves are 26 & 27 ton line haulers, the only difference is that one is 6×4 and the other is 6×6.The original versions of those trucks being the M915's-M920's & M915A1's-M920A1's that were CCC/AM General and had Cummins instead of Detroits were put on that category, the M920-M920A1 itself was a 18-20 ton dump truck.

Not a naval consist, those trucks on some of the flat cars are a give away. Some of those trucks are Oshkosh FMTV's and Oshkosh HEMTT's on that train which are only in the Army. The USN & USMC don't use 8×8 trucks, not for awhile now, only 6×6 & 8×8 big rigs. The last trucks that were 8×8 that the USMC had were the LVS MK48's which had articulated steering with hydraulics and a pivot, they primarily based on the DA-1500 fire trucks which are common in some airports. Then they went to the LVSR's/MMRS's which are all 10×10 only.In the USN & USMC both, they have MTVR's for 6×6 trucks, which are seven ton trucks and not two and a half/five ton like what the Army has and have conventional cabs and aren't cabovers.Plus in comparison to the FMTV's,the MTVR's are much more powerful, capable, reliable, durable, faster,
      and heavier.
