Idk these people but being a “single mom” with a fully capable husband that just won’t help seems so much more overwhelming than being a single mom period… it’s exhausting relying on someone that doesn’t show up consistently especially when it’s with something you should both share the responsibilities for.
It’s kind of like having a slacker as a project partner at some point you realize it’s better you just do it alone than getting stressed over having to make sure they do their part, confronting them when they don’t, not having peace of mind all while having to do your own part.

I am leaning towards this mind set as well. I am a proud stay at home mom! I successful stayed at home and raised 3 VERY successful (adult) children now. It was the toughest job I’ve ever had! Yes you have to place your family before your desires. Once they are raised is when your hearts desires on steroids! Being a full time stay at home parent is the hardest work in the world. You constantly need to monitor the kids, cooking, cleaning, washing laundry, crying, screaming, running around, getting into everything, no breaks, no space, no change of scenery, no different people to converse with, and you don’t get paid. It’s stressful, and overwhelming. I do hope that you both work things out and come as one with your family

This is called postpartum, lack of sleep, physical exhaustion hormones a mess, you need medical care, and hire some help. Your husband loves you but when you feel like this I’ve been there you can’t think clearly. Praying you get the help you both need.
Stop blaming arrogant behavior on postpartum, Rose needs to get help before she destroys her family. In a marriage it's not one person who has the say, both should agree on whatever it is, and both should be able to air their views without the other crying to control the situation. This is such a dangerous decision. I know of a couple that went through this, the wife wanted her space to be free, she wanted her own apartment and he moved her into a beautiful home, supported her in nursing school, etc. she had the life. She wanted him to wait for her while she experienced freedom, he told her if you leave I’m divorcing you and I’m keeping the kids. Well she didn’t think it would happen but she tried him and he divorced her. Worse decision of her life and now she can’t get her life back. Find an outlet for the children at least 2-3 days a week so you can have your space.
To me that seems to be the trash taking itself out. Does she has to take that long of a hiatus and does not even want to go back to a regular life then a lot of this got to be on the husband. Somewhere some way he's dropping the ball. She should have visitation rights though.
