    Update: Bubble rate is solid on this thing. 1 Week later bubble rate hasn't changed since the initial (very small) drift on first day.

    I just got the same one and it fits almost everything. I went with paint ball. Do I need a check valve in the hosing with this? Says the bubble counter works as one but I don’t get it. Thanks

    No matter what I do when I have solenoid plugged in there’s a silent leak, even with the needle valve in off position. It holds pressure when solenoid is off...only on it leaks because it drops pressure to 0 in less than a day...I’ve had a replacement and it still does this. I literally want to give up

    • @cmbayko
      @cmbayko Před 3 lety

      But is the leak internal or external? If it's internal do you mean if you set the regulator to say 30 PSI, and have CO2 running by the end of a day, the regulator loses pressure and there is no longer a 30PSI pressure, it will read lee the 30 PSI when the CO2 is running? If you set it up and get your bubble count where you want it, and then during the night turn off the power, solenoid is OFF, then in the morning, solenoid comes on, and PSI before coming on should read what you set it at, and the CO2 will flow. Does it loose PSI when it is running into the aqaurium? this is not good:-( if so. Are you using CO2 line tubing?

    • @rachaelflores3810
      @rachaelflores3810 Před 3 lety

      @@cmbayko I was running it and ran out of CO2 within a day or two and my cylinders should last at least a month doing like 1 bubble per second or 1 per 2 seconds...9g tank and using Sodastream adapter from CO2 Art. I got frustrated and started testing by isolating the problem. I let gas into regulator with needle valve completely shut...solenoid not plugged in. I then closed the valve on cylinder to prevent loss of gas from tank...I waited 3 days and PSI stayed 25 no loss at all. Once I plugged in my solenoid to my timer the PSI dropped to 0 over the course of 8 hours. No bubbles ever got through to the counter because needle valve stayed closed, it is still in position after checking. So I have no clue what is going on but something isn’t right.

      @@rachaelflores3810 thank you for your reply. Based on your experience, I have ordered one of these, but will not even open it for now. I'm not an expert, but have read tons of stuff in the last 6 months; and would make an observation in case it helps. I have another brand mini reg right now. I've learned that these mini regs have to have a certain canister pressure to work properly, and I'm wondering if a 9G canister is too small. I'd recommend trying it with one greater than 70 grams. Then the needle valve can be closed or open with the solenoid engaged, and with the system pressurized, say 20-30 PSI,leave the valve to the canister open, and see if it looses pressure; if it does, this is a product defect. Alternatively I would ask Fzone support if the Regulator will work with a 9 gram cartridge. In fact I would do this first, bore messing with a canister. My guess is you have identified a leakage in the system design, that most users would never realize, if they are using 70Gram cartridges all the way up to large canisters. FZone should stand behind this and make sure your satisfied. Chip Keep us updated!

      @@cmbayko my apologies for the confusion I meant I’m using it on a 9g aquarium...my CO2 tank is a 60L Sodastream and I use a CO2 Art Sodastream adapter for a CGA320 connection which is one of the connections provided with this mini regulator.

    When you have a second. I believe it may be a 3 stage??? If you look at the Amazon Photos of this regulator... Especially the pic of the regulator tore down to its individual pieces of hardware.. look at the top right of the photo. You can notice a very small spring with a piece that looks like a axel right below/above the small spring... GO TO FZONE STUDIOS. COM THERE THEY HAVE THE PIC HIGHLIGHTED POINTING OUT THE 3RD STAGE... BUT HEY I GET MINE TOMORROW AND I JUST GOT THE CO2ART PRO SE DUAL STAGE REGULATOR LAST WEEK. ITS GONNA BE GOOD TO SEE HOW THEY WORK SIDE BY SIDE. DAMMIT I DIDNT RELIZE I DIDN'T TURN OFF CAPS.. im not erasing. Lol
