Changing of the Guard in Stockholm - Sweden 4K Travel Channel

The changing of the guard at the Royal Palace in Stockholm takes place daily around 12.00 (Sunday 13.00) on the palace square.
About 50 times a year the guard and trumpeter corps appear on horses. On our visit, everyone appeared on foot. The Royal Guard is a guard of honor, responsible for the protection of the Swedish royal family. It has continuously guarded the Stockholm Palace since 1523. On behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces, it also carries out all ceremonies on official occasions, such as state visits.
The members are recruited from regiments of the Life Guards. But also members of sections of the National Forces, serving sometimes for a short time in the Royal Guard.
The Life Guards is a combined regiment of the Swedish army, with infantry and cavalry. In times of war, it is responsible for the defense of Stockholm. In times of peace, the body and property protection against the Swedish royal house belongs to its tasks.
The Livgarde was formed in 2000 from the Swedish Army infantry regiment (Svea Livgarde), the Life Guard Brigade (Livgardesbrigaden) and the Life Guard Dragoons (Livgardets Dragoons).
The Svea Livgarde is one of the world's oldest regiments still in active duty. It was set up in 1521 for Gustav Vasa. The then 16 men from Dalarna were responsible for body and object protection. But, they were also used at war sites.
The Livgardesbrigaden, also founded in 1521 by Gustav Vasa, was an elite unit. It corresponded to an infantry brigade. The Lifeguards brigade was also active in Stockholm and on various battlefields.
In 1667 Gustav Vasa founded the Life Guard Dragoons. In former times, the size depended on the availability of horses and horse feed. The Life Guard Dragoons played a decisive role in the Battle of Lund against the Danes in 1676.
The changing of the guard is carried out with great seriousness. The same, as we have seen it also during the changing of the guard in Canada or Greece.

Die Wachablösung im Königlichen Schloss in Stockholm findet täglich um 12.00 (Sonntag 13.00) auf dem Schlossplatz statt.
Ungefähr 50 Mal im Jahr erscheint die Wache und das Trompeterkorps auf Pferden. Bei unserem Besuch erschienen alle zu Fuß.
Die Königliche Garde ist eine Ehrengarde, die für den Schutz der schwedischen Königsfamilie zuständig ist. Seit 1523 bewacht sie den Königspalast in Stockholm. Im Auftrag der Schwedische Streitkräfte, nimmt die Königliche Garde auch an allen Zeremonien zu offiziellen Anlässen, wie z.B. bei Staatsbesuchen teil.
Ihre Mitglieder werden aus den Einheiten der Leibgarde rekrutiert. Aber auch Mitglieder aus anderen Einheiten der nationalen Streitkräfte werden manchmal für eine kurze Zeit zum Dienst in der Königlichen Garde eingesetzt.
Die Leibgarde ist ein Regiment der schwedischen Armee, das aus Infanterie und Kavallerie besteht. In Kriegszeiten ist sie für die Verteidigung von Stockholm mitverantwortlich. In Friedenszeiten gehört der Leib- und Objektschutz gegenüber dem schwedischen Königshaus zu seinen Aufgaben.
Die Livgarde wurde im Jahr 2000 aus der Svea Livgarde, den Livgardesbrigaden und den Livgardets Dragoner gebildet.
Die Svea Livgarde ist das älteste Regiment der Welt. Sie wurde 1521 für Gustav Wasa aufgestellt. Die damals 16 Männer aus Dalarna waren für Leib- und Objektschutz zuständig. Jedoch kamen sie auch auf Kriegsschauplätzen zum Einsatz.
Die Livgardesbrigaden, ebenfalls 1521 von Gustav Wasa gegründet, war eine Eliteeinheit. Sie entsprach einer Infanteriebrigade. Auch sie war in Stockholm und auf verschiedene Kriegsschauplätzen im Einsatz.
1667 gründete Gustav Wasa die Livgardets Dragoner. Früher hing die Größe von der Verfügbarkeit von Pferden und Pferdefutter ab. Die Livgardets Dragoner spielten 1676 in der Schlacht bei Lund gegen die Dänen eine entscheidende Rolle.
Der Wachablösung wird mit großem Ernst vollzogen, wie wir dies auch bei Wachwechseln in Kanada oder Griechenland kennengelernt haben.

Hallo Richard, vielen Dank für den tollen Kommentar! Naja, kurze Hosen hab ich keine :-). Da wir spät dran waren, weil wir am Anfang nicht wussten, wo das Zeremoniell stattfindet, war so gut wie kein Platz mehr frei. Also habe ich mich am Boden vor den Füssen der Zuschauer niedergelassen. Der Soldat deutete mir, dass der Durchgang neben mir frei bleiben muss. Also versuchte ich mich noch kleiner zu machen :-) Deswegen hat zwischen durch die Kamera so gewackelt, weil ich meine Füsse neu sortieren musste, bevor sie mir einschliefen :-) Einmal habe ich auch gedacht, dass einer der Musikanten über mich hinwegmarschiert, aber glücklicherweise hat er gerade noch rechtzeitig gestoppt :-) Herzliche Grüße und eine wunderbare Zeit!
