Meg Duffy (Hand Habits) on guitar there, really worth checking out their stuff, saw them as support act for Angel Olsen in London a few years ago, great artist

@@matthewjames206 I too feel that way. The band is there as a collective to make the song sound the best, no ego musicians trying to be seen, they play together like a puzzle. Love them.

After Fun House, it's disorienting seeing Meg in other people's bands, but I love that they're willing to do it, especially for Perfume Genius - they sound so good together.
These songs aren't busy, but there are a lot of subtleties, so much going on but coming off with a simplicity.

Nice mix of pickups on that guitar. Pleasantly listenable - not in the background but part of the mood. Good use of the clean and percussive aspects of all instruments - including voice. Great space filled by a "band" of players each filling their role. I like losing the lyrical content because the arrangements support the melodies so well. Refreshing to hear the music out in front of lifestyle. We all need more substance than style. Wonderful bass lines and guitar fills. I like that the keys play the role of orchestration. Rarely do I want to hear more. This was a treat - had to look you up online.

this is probably one of my favorite performances on here at the moment. I fucking love these sets and Cheryl is literally the best. I feel like if youre a band and you get on KEXP with CHERYL you should know you are at the top. Much appreciated and much love KEXP ❤
