    I lives in Palmer House for two years. 1981and 1982. I have sweet memories.

    i was there 1999 and 2000 just two years before we got kicked out of the country... the headmaster was faira* i loved our school.

      Even back in my day, the office for caning was exactly the same! You brought back some good memories, thank you. The school hasn’t changed much at all, I hope it still gives good education.

    Teachers - Mr Forrester ~ English, Mrs Scott ~ Maths, Mrs Burke ~ Science, Mr Kendicks ~ Metalwork, Miss Ncube ~ Shona, Mr Hartley ~ Headmaster, Mr Musa ~ Deputy Headmaster. Headboy ~ Fayaz King.
    The disco used to be Ojays Disco ~ DJ Gregg.
    Smoking Room ~ Swimming Pool Changeing Shack lol.
    Tuck Shop always fights lol.
    Good ole days 83 84,
    Walked out after assembly had enough Musa & everything.

    Stayed in Soffee house 2000 to 2001 we turned that place into an academic powerhouse, Dr J Machingambi (PhD)

    I was there 1973 - 77 I cannot remember enjoying 1 day at that school except for the day I left.

    Miss called out people to tchaya after assembly maybe 40 pupils to many 'Manuel labours. My name was there on list had about enough of MBHS & Musa & everything and walked out, was sent to my Uncle Plumtree High School ~ Very nice school back in the day.

    I was in grade 4, 1981. We were the last primary pupils to have lessons at MBHS before Mutare Junior became grade 1 to 7

      I was also at Mutare Junior during 1981 onwards. I was i grade 3 or 4 then. Maybe was in the same class.

      @@cheedwards9459 I was only there 81 and 82. When they closed Eikoff House, I left Mutare. So we might have been. I think my teachers at Mutare Junior were Miss Paulson and Mr Zvauya.

    Mr Forrester took son out put him in Hillcrest, and he quit as teacher, Musa was transferred to Harare, not sacked can u imagine. Mr Moyana apparently took over as new deputy.

    The school is decrepit; a vast derelict institution where everything is falling to pieces & buildings are just a ramshackle...it is a shadow of its former glory😩!

    After I left tables turned on Musa, The Shona teacher assaulted Mr Forrester's son for coming late he told he's father,
    Mr Forrester approached Mr Musa at office, a big arguement happened as Mr Forrester turned to walk away Musa punched him in the back of the head, Big mistake!!
    Everyone he ever cained a giant Mob went to office he fled.
    The day when that monster Cobra was being killed Mr Musa was at Foyer entrance Shit scared hiding behind Form 1's, while the other boys ku ponda nyoka to death. Mrs Burke Science teacher said burn it.

      Wow, I never knew that. What was going through Mr. Musas head to punchna parent. So the students went after Musa? I didn't know as I was watching the Cobra being killed.

      It was a teacher and parent you remember Mr Forrester, English teacher , he's son used to ride a Motorbike park next to Assembly Hall. The incident with Cobra was different year before assaulting Forrester, read next comment about teachers.I
