This is the song that pulled me down the rabbit hole 4 years ago. Never looked back.
The symbolism in their videos is amazing and that they continue through out their songs blows my mind 💜💜💜
Singularity is an underrated masterpiece…for a baritone always singing in the high ranges this is chef’s kiss from V. Written by Namjoon with V in mind cuz he felt that only V can interpret it. A lot of reactors called this a baby making song from V. Thanks for rreacting to him. 👍
V just set another record, Guiness World Record I think, for the fastest person ever to get 50million followers on Instagram. BTS as a group has broken over 27 Guiness World Records. After the Grammy's V gained like 500,000 followers in like a day, bc the world was so taken by him (bc of their performance and of course the intro), and I'm sure also bc of the interview they did w Trevor Noah as well how he looked during their red carpet arrival)

This song is the first song that I have on my playlist, so when I go out & about V aka Tae-Hyung is the first artist I listen to every time, he's my bias. He has a gorgeous voice soft like silk.😎💜👌 That's what I love about V he's deep yet playful but always devoted to not only his BTS brothers but us Army too.💜💜

a lot of people describe it as R&B/slow jazz. But bookish theories called it neo soul which is probably more accurate.

I really love Bookish theory, because she really make effort to analyze it in a way we can understand the concept (deeper meaning) of what BTS songs are all about. She based it mostly to what the members said in the past. and relates it to other songs with in the album or BTS past songs.
a really love the bookish theory's explanation of this song but I'd like to add a little detail to give another layer to this song. namjoon, who wrote the lyrics for this song, mentioned during a live that the he was inspired to write this song after reading a japanese book called "confessions of the mask" (in short, it's about an experience of a closeted gay man living in a homophobic society).

the live of this is impeccable
This is what most ARMYs love about BTS and their music. Aside from just being good music they strive to put forth a Life lesson or meaningful messages or personal issues. They really do try to make other people's lives better through their art.
Very few of their songs have lyrics that are superficial or as obvious as they may seem at first.
Rm wrote this in mind for V. Rm had just been discharged from the hospital after surgery for a deviated septum. He wrote the lyrics and majority of the beat in 30 minutes. With the help of producer Charlie Perry.

For this era which is the "Love Yourself" era, there are 3 albums, Love Yourself: HER (when you first fall in love/honeymoon stage), Love Yourself: Tear (which is where this song is in, talk about Fake Love/finding the dark side of love), and the last album is Love Yourself: Answer (realizing you must love yourself first in order to find true love/happiness)
