  • I was talking to Daniel, who is a psychologist, and one of my earliest clients, and I suddenly got inspired for this project.
In this video, with my moderation, astrologers, psychologist, and clients are talking their perspective on both professions and how and where they meet.
    The first panel: Psychologist
The first speaker is Frida, who worked as a clinical psychologist, and is about to finish her PhD in Psychology, and publish her book.
The second speaker is Daniel who is a psychologist with a deep interest in astrology.
    The second panel: Astrologers
The first speaker is Lauren, who is a professional astrologer.
The second speaker is Jasmina, who is a professional astrologer.
The third speaker is Marc, who is in training and about to be a professional astrologer.
The fourth speaker is Jaymie, who is a professional astrologer:
    The third panel: Clients
Nick, who is a tarot reader, and is deeply connected to astrology and psychology
Mia, who is a numerologist and astrologer in training, and passionate about psychology.
Melina, who shares her growing interest in astrology and experience in therapy.
It is a long deep discussion to be watched in multiple sits. :)

I think that there are ways to see in a chart the trauma carried by a person and treat with therapy. Think of how many people could be helped. I agree with Jasmina, astrology has been restricted by main stream religion. I use astrology to understand myself so I can be a better version of myself. Very good forum.

Thanks for this presentation. Is there a forum where these issues will continue to be discussed? As a mental health professional and an astrologer, I was particularly interested. Regarding the "study" allegedly associating belief in astrology with narcissism and low intelligence, it is poorly designed and any conclusions it makes are highly questionable. The "study" was done as voluntary Facebook questionnaire offered to people who spend time on social media. There was no control group. The sample size was small and consisted of mostly women (87% of participants) between 25 and 34 years old who were recruited via word-of-mouth on Facebook -- hardly a representative sample of the population. The study was strongly biased against astrology, calling it a pseudoscience that "might not be all that harmless." The only valid conclusion of this study seems to be that women in their late 20s and early 30s who spend time on Facebook and volunteer to answer questionnaires about astrology tend to score higher than average on nacissism scale and lower than average on a 4-item IQ questionnaire. The authorsof the study state "the sample is not generalisable to a broader population" but the media has presented it as if the findings were generalizable to the entire population.

We are planning to keep in touch maybe for part 2 in future! :) If you are on Instagram, we have a group there, and you can join. Yes, the study sounds so biased to me as well. I’ve actually met a few highly possibly narcissistic or clinically diagnosed ones, and none were really into astrology.
