For those that don’t know, Abe-chan was a hill mynah, a bird species native to certain Asian regions (like Korea & Japan). Abe-chan gained popularity (kinda) for how fluently he was able to speak Japanese, even though he could only speak a few phrases (“Hai, wakarimashita,” meaning “Yes, I understand,” for example). Anyway, after a while of being on the channel, Abe-chan died 4-5 years ago. But I’m at least glad he earned meme status & became the next Harambe!
