Morning Deb! With my hands these days I am going to have to look into those new pryms. I have glue that’s purple! Love it. The lint roller is my best friend as I have a corgi! Have a great week. I remember mum using soap so think i will definitely give that a go. One handy tool I have is a magnet attached to a stick which I use to pick up the myriad of pins that I always find on the floor. My husband made it for me and it’s a joy to use 🎉! Have a great week and you next time.

Is your corgi a furnado pet?

I also have an electric de-pilling device. It looks just like yours. It does a marvellous job as you work the stainless steel head back and forth across pilled fabric, the blades inside the head being sliced off and deposited in the clear receptacle at the base. It seems quite expensive when first purchased but quickly pays for itself by keeping worn clothes looking like new.

Hi LooLoo, yes I totally agree with your comment about the anti pilling electric tool.. it was an expensive initial outlay but has certainly proved to be invaluable. I use mine heaps in the winter especially. Happy sewing

Hi Deb, I haven’t used the soap as a marker before, I’ll have to give that a try. My lint shaver is battery operated and you constantly have to change batteries so I’ll look around for an electric one, that’s a great idea. Have a great sewing week, Deb

I keep the sticky lint roller on the bed of my sewing machine to put bits of thread on. And also take it with me when I need to do a lot of unpicking. It's a good way to keep your stray thread contained. I have both types of snap plyers and also a press. The press is easier as my hands get older. I use soap when I can't find my Taylor's chalk😅. I use color pencils to trace my PDF patterns off - especially if I need more than one size, i use different colors. Thanks for sharing your tools in this video!

Yes I use soap slivers, I didn't know about using brick to sharpen them, I shall give it a try. I've tried different things over the years, those disappearing blue pens (over 40 years ago) most of the time worked but in some conditions it would come back. Thanks for all your good tips and tricks ( and tools)

@@francinelundeen435 some of the quilters are say that quilts they marked with the blue pens 35-40 years ago are now showing back up as brown lines on their quilts. That's sad. I've not sharpened my soap on a brick either.

Oh no, that would be devestating for marking pen marks to come back years later. All that work!

Anyone with an interest in sewing will have some knowledge of the items discussed in this video. 🤷‍♀️ That’s for the rude comment left below.

These so called sewing tools mean nothing to me because you dont show how they are used. Do not have a clue what you are talking about. So not interested. You need more than words. Sorry
