Amity was my little brothers favorite band. He passed away 2 years ago. Joel called us while he was in the hospital after his lung transplant. All because I sent one email. Forever grateful for this band . Rest easy Wyatt.
I to know the pain....my little sister in law whom I had the pleasure of raising from age 3 till her passing at the young age of 20 , got her into heavy music and she would have loved this song. Stay strong 💪 one day at a time

Having seen amity 3 times live i would guess that most of the high screams are ahren, because he does those live really often.
Ahren is what drew me to this band initially but Joels screams are always amazing

Pretty sure bands aren't interested in releasing full albums anymore. They can't get the streaming numbers up on songs 7,8 9 etc. It's more beneficial for them to release singles as they tend to stream better.

Ryan drumming was just perfection. No faults just pure smooth flow no matter how off beat it sounded it complemented the guitar riffs. Its hard to find a drummer like ryan. But all there recent music feels like its just missing that little something for me to enjoy, i didn't like the last album expect for soak me in bleach. This is already a massive improvement and even the drums feel good cant wait to listen to the full album!

Tornadoes destroyed my home town last week and many lost their lives, my family was fortune enough to be just outside the path of the tornado. This song really hits home for me and couldn’t have been released at a more relevant time. Knowing so many people lost their homes and so many children lost their lives. Makes me so grateful that I still have my children to hold but my heart breaks for all those who were lost. “Knowing what I hold is more precious than gold..”
My family was one of the ones who lost everything in those tornados. My son and i had the pleasure of learning what a tornado sounds like not 10 feet above his head.

A lot of family and friends wonder why I listen to this type of music when I’m 41. It’s cause I connect and love this type of music. Joel is almost 40 and Ahren 35 and they write and play this music. It’s my genre. I’m also huge into bands like Parkway Drive I’m not a huge country fan but I do like some of the old school country/western stuff.
Metal is perfect no matter the age brotha. Keep rocking!
If it makes you feel any better I'm 23 years old and listen to Waylon and Johnny Cash as much as I listen to Amity and bands like Beartooth and BMTH. Music doesn't discriminate, only people do that.
Mitch I get that s lot but I'm 60 and I don't know why people think you are locked into a genre if you listen to TAA. People always say isn't that too heavy? I laugh and tell them I will tell them when it's too heavy
You might also like ocean sleeper, or in hearts wake. They are right up there with TAA in my book.

I have Death's Hand tattooed on me for my OD that happened in June 2020. The night I kept going I laid against my wall saying "Hey Death, get fucked." This band has gotten me through so much. I got "I held Death's hand this evening, don't let me die." With a coffin and a skeleton hand and hand intertwining. TAA reminds me in never alone. Every song they put out always comes out swinging. @@myfic1900 Yeah mate! No word of a lie. Ahren, was in a band before Amity, back in the day. He also started Amity, where he was the vocalist. He's always been able to do the deathcore type of growl/scream. Then they got Joel, so he was only the bassist/clean vocalist. He started doing it more often (live) just after they released Chasing Ghosts. He also had a few parts in LTOTM. Especially on songs like Deaths Hand. I've been a fan since Glory Days! 😅 So yeah, he does, my friend. 🤌 Seen it multiple times live.
Joel and Ahren, both scream during that breakdown, but it's Ahren, who's producing the harsher screams.
