This is the rv we are buying. I really love everything. It checks all the boxes. I wish it had more solar and Ncad batteries but otherwise thats it. Love no propane. Love heated floors. And as a handicapped person this is a great coach.

@@MattsRVReviews we are looking at different dealers in and around west virginia. We are waiting on my trust to settle and then we will purchase. But we have been looking for a couple years now. So after looking at each brand and What you get by far Fleetwood gives more bang for the buck. We like both the 40m and 40d. So we are keeping our eyes open for the best deal.

👍🏻 Engine Torque Rating- Torque is King, 380hp with 1150 ft/lbs of Torque, ample start up & hill climbing power with the fuel economy & weight savings of the ISL 9l (but cooled with a rear mounted radiator? ugh 😑)
👍🏻 Composite Storage Liners- No Carpet to mold, mildew, and corrode metal beneath carpet
👍🏻 AquaHot System for continuous unlimited hot water, Coach and engine pre-heat
👍🏻 New Digital Dash with new smart steering wheel with integrated transmission controls
👍🏻 Newly re-engineered Freedom Bridge foundation

    3.PRICE
Come on the prices of these things are getting completely out of hand. I understand that there are some folks who want the best of the best. But most of us just want it to work. Even if I was rich I wouldn't spend that on that. I'd get one custom made on a off road chassis.

  • @LowsJuan
    @LowsJuan Před 5 lety +2

This is a nice combination of features for a low-end diesel pusher. The mobileye technology is also a neat feature which keeps the price low and if I am not right has speed limit recognition/display which may seem frivolous but when you in unknown territory this can save you some grief. Full feature collision avoidance and adaptive cruise control are usually on found on half-million dollar coaches. It is an option that comes integrated into the Freightliner chassis. Depending on the final price I think this a good value but the competition still has comfort drive.
Nice to see that you left the slides in at the beginning of the video. Some salesmen try to access the bays with the slides out, making it very hard for the viewer to see exactly inside the bays and see just how much storage there is in there. Salesmen get tired of bending over under the slide, so they just stop showing the bays or worse open them and close them quickly not allowing the camera time to view the bay. Getting on the roof and showing the interior with the slides in is another great move.

@@MattsRVReviews You have got a lot right already. Your camera person seems well on top of it also. I think sometimes inserting stills of displays and control panels can show more detail and easier to explain especially when you have to use extreme angles to get the shot. Your camera person got great shots of the dash and the control panels by the way. The prime example on this coach would be trying to show the control stalk for the transmission and engine brake on video. It is just easier to rotate the wheel out of the way and have someone take a still/video when seated in the best place to get a clear view of the stalk and that would be the driver's seat. To often this type of shot comes across as clumsy and at an extreme angle resulting in an unintelligible image because the commentator sitting in the place with the best view.
There are a lot of examples of the wrong way to do this on youtube. Most of the time I see such things because the people have not done a walk-through/rehearsal before, not knowing the product and or the competition. You can tell when salesmen are doing things on the fly and have really have not spent the time to do their homework on the unit.
The antithesis of your style is this RV one VP showing a Jayco Seneca.
      czcams.com/video/NX7O0BGdciY/video.html
This person says upgrade or upgraded probably a 100 times and always saying the other guys don't do this as well as we do. I think they disabled the comments because of people were probably mocking him so much.
Then there is the guy who says "Most Outstanding RV in this Video" or "Most Awarded RV in this Video". I am not sure if he was trying to be funny, but because of his presence, it comes across as insulting. This guy does a dance with his cameraman in the bathroom that is so bad it's funny.
      czcams.com/video/48sBs_ctf7E/video.html
The real masters of the rv tour are Chris Andeson of Mt Comfort RV and Patrick Botticelli of Colonial RV. Patrick has the advantage of being in the business for a long time so he knows his product (airstream) inside and out. He has a NY accent which makes him stand out in a positive way and gives out detailed info about why they build things the way they do, and tips to prevent common mistakes made by new owners. His biggest asset is that he is actually an RVer. I would probably never buy an airstream as I don't like towables but it would be very difficult to not buy one if he was my salesmen because he seems to really care that you have the best experience in your new RV.
Chris is just good at it, with a likeable personality and well-oiled presentation most of the time. His biggest weakness is his cameraman with batteries dying and not having extra sd cards and having to end the video abruptly.
You may not have the experience of these presenters but you're unique and knowing your product can really boost your sales.

Agree with your hate of the overhead bunk blocking egress...........could be a death trap. The one solar panel on top is a joke. For that kind of MSRP it should have at least 3 160's or 200's..........enough to do some good. Should also have a in movement satellite dish standard, 1/2 bath should be a little larger. Better weight capacity on the killer drop down bunk. I think there are better rigs for less money.............of course I am a Entegra fan though :) Great job Matt and Jen!!! 👍 Smashy! L: fantastic slide out space; all of the kitchen appliances, including washer/dryer; yup that bathroom is to die for. D: man you kept me hanging 22 minutes from when you hinted about disliking the awning, the stupid switch is totally inaccessible until the whole unit is parked, someone must've been on some nasty drugs in the design phase and then shared it with those who approved it! ; that ladder did look a bit scary, no header from the roof, let's do it from only five feet up; not a fan of the extra glossy tile floor but it does cover the heated floor. Other than the guy next door just how many others did you scare the crap out of when you laid on that awesome air horn? 💩💩💩🎷🎷🎷

Matt, I do not agree on your last item that you do not like! I have the same ladder on my Fleetwood and I love it. The reason I do is, it keeps it so only the owner can get on the roof. I personally do not want kids or anyone else climbing onto my roof. With a ladder that come way down this would be possible. Oh, not sure I like the idea of a completely "electric" motor home. I like "old school" better. OK, rant over. Great review tho!!!!

    1. Love the outside paint colors! And beautiful, elegant, calming inside decor. 2 Love the whole bathroom (except for the shade switch - is that a wiring issue?) 3. Love the embedded iPad control system panel, along with bedside lights-off button. 1. Dislike? For pull-out credenza extension, is there a support leg for the table? If not, that's just another thing to break. 2. Dislike? Re overhead lights - can you dim them or turn off some of them? 3. Why is there a sectional ladder? Is that for kid safety? Is it too fragile? 4. No propane backup? All electric? What if you get stuck someplace like March 2020 during the beginning of the coronavirus? But I don't know how the electric/diesel/propane thing works. 5. On passenger side, need the lift and slide out desk table for map reading, using iPad/laptop to make reservations, etc.

380HP for 40ft is way under-powered. Fine on level roads but it will slow way down on any incline. NEWMAR changed their NEW AIRE this year to correct the same problem. I agree with the comment below about the paint. It’s ridiculous. The inverter is just big enough to need to be replaced. With three AC units I would think a 3000 watt inverter would be required. Most manufacturers use the inverter jus to run the residential fridge.

at that price point all those batteries should be on a slider. I hate the location of the fireplace. a fireplace should be a nice focal point in my opinion not something you cram into the corner behind the dinning table just so the manufacturer can brag about having one. I would also rather see the TV moved to where that painting is above the fireplace. it would be awesome in my opinion if the covers for the sink or cooktop were butcherblock cutting boards. I mean for 400k why not right...or maybe my on call chef can bring her own. lol at this price point the tilt and telescoping steering wheel should be powered.

Emulsifier? It grinds the waste in the black tank to a purée consistency so the waste water pours out smoothly. Also, while I’m at it, are there jets inside the blank tank to vigorously clean the tank after the water is dumped. There are a lot of RV’s That have these features.

This unit screams for the use of Lithium batteries. All electric and old school batteries? Are you kidding me? As well as only one solar panel. The cost of this coach puts in in an area that should dictate only the best equipment is used. Not something as outdated as old school batteries and such. It simply does not have the power to spare to run all that lovely equipment on the road. Yes I realize that this is a park only unit and is not something someone would want to boondock a lot in. However in transit you may have to overnight at spots that do not have full hookups. So why get stingy with your electric when everything in the coach needs it so much.
It really is time for the companies building these rigs to wake up to the fact that we use these now so much differently than they were used in the past. People full time in them as well as long road trips. So we need to be able to use these rigs no matter what the situation is. Generators are costly to run and maintain. Solar is not always useful either. However a combo approach is what a lot of full timers do now days and the units have to be refitted to even do that much. You should not have to spend this much on a coach just to have to have it refitted so that you can even use it.
Oh yes... A 2000 Watt inverter is a bit on the small side when all of that coach is electric. Just food for thought...

Second 4 things I Don’t like explained below “why”
    👎 1. Solid Front Axel
    👎2. Rear Mounted Radiator
    👎3. Cab Dropdown Bunkbed
    👎4. Gap below entrance steps
    In detail as to why:
    1:No independent Front
Suspension: A coach with independent front suspension is superior in ride quality, stability and control and takes full advantage of the Vride rear suspension. A classs A Diesel Pusher coach in this price range should always include independent front suspension.
2: Rear Mounted Radiator. As with all diesel pushers with rear mounted radiators, they are located behind the engine which draws in air over the hot engine which in turn heats the air before going into the radiator which means the cooling system and engine can work nearly twice as hard to maintain safe operating temperatures compared to Side Mounted Radiators, especially when under heavy loads such as towing, lots of hill climbing, extreme hot weather, loaded to maximum weight carrying capacity, traveling in higher altitudes/elevations such as traveling through the Colorado Rockies, etc. Also, rear radiators limit access to the engine so it typically takes much longer to perform maintenance driving up costs and guaranteed more times mechanics will be walking through your rv to access the engine through the trap door located on the floor in the rear of the coach. Thus, increasing chances to damage tiles, get grease, dirt, oil smells etc. in your coach. In this product category and price range there are coaches that come standard with a side mounted radiator. Pick what best fits your needs, how one is using and where one will be traveling which are key determining factors if a side mounted radiator is best or can live with the disadvantages of a rear mounted radiator.
3: Front Overhead Dropdown Bunk: Don’t like class A RV’s pilot/copilot direct overhead drop down bunk for frontal crash & fire safety reasons: If the coach main exit is located by copilot seat, a overhead dropdown bunk in the down position at this location obstructs the main exit and thus is a fire safety hazard. Secondly, in a class A RV, there is very little structural mass & distance protecting the pilot/copilot area, and any items attached directly above this area, if become detached, which can happen during a frontal impact, will directly impact into the pilot/copilot area and even block the main exit if located next to copilot seat. Thus it is vital to know how your particular coach is manufactured before you purchase it. Learn what type of materials and construction techniques are used which vastly differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. While one manufacturer in all their class A RV’s installs a 360 degree welded high strength steel superstructure surround cab safety cage that protects the pilot/copilot from the windshield to several feet behind the cab seats, plus bonds the windshield to the high strength steel cab superstructure with automotive grade adhesives, and attaches all cabinets to steel reinforced backer plates that are hidden within the coach walls, other manufacturers use little to no steel reinforcement above the coach chassis using basically wood, aluminum, fiberglass, screws, glue, bolts and staples in the coach construction above the steel chassis providing no real protection to pilot/copilot areas and attachments of cabnits etc. Thus, if a class A RV cab dropdown bunk is a must have item, do detailed research on what type of materials are used and where and how all items are constructed, installed, attached and secured to the front and rear caps, walls, floors and roof as they vastly differ between manufacturers and there are no government class A RV structural construction crash test standards. In the rv industry many items are “industry self regulated”.
4: The Huge Gap below the outside entrance step when in the retracted position is not only ugly, gaps like this can cause disruption in aerodynamic efficiencies causing air turbulence producing harmonic & inharmonic vibration, increased wind noise, lower gas mileage & additional driver fatigue, especially in cross wind conditions.
There are so many items to love about this coach but the above 4 items are “big no factors” for many in this price range.
