    Elliptical Features
    Includes 30 Day NordicTrack iFit® membership
    The SE7i features a 7” touchscreen that showcases NordicTrack’s iFit database of workout classes and outdoor routes. Via the touchscreen you can select and view any number of walking, hiking or other outdoor trails while on your SE7i. You can also do indoor classes led by a personal trainer. This is a great feature and an exceptional value!
    24 Preset Workout Apps
    If you don’t want to use iFit, there are 24 preset workouts on the SE7i that will work without any internet or wifi. Simply plug in your machine and you can select any of these preloaded workouts.
    SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance with 24 Digital Resistance Levels
    Digital resistance is silent when in use, so the pedals on your SE7i don’t make any noise. They slide back and forth silently so you can use your machine anytime of day or night. Digital preset levels make it so you can always find the right level of resistance each time.
    10% Power Adjustable Incline
    This unusual feature on an elliptical machine pivots the pedals up to reach a 10% incline -- as if you were walking or hiking up a hill! This makes the SE7i multifunctional and adds more variables to your training routine.
    Integrated Handle Controls for Ramp and Resistance
    Since the SE7i is multifunctional, it is nice to have handlebar controls for ramp and resistance right at your fingertips!
    325 Lb. User Weight Capacity
    This is an impressive user capacity for an elliptical trainer. 325lb will support most users which makes this a great option for those looking to increase their fitness but stay low-impact.
    Vertical SpaceSaver® Design
    Since this is a rear-drive elliptical, it can fold down on itself. You could easily store this behind a couch so that when not in use, it is tucked out of the way. The SE7i is heavy, but folding it is easy. Simply loosen the knob and release the latch to fold it in half.

    How resistant is it at the lowest setting? I bought a different brand’s elliptical last year and even at the lowest setting it’s incredibly resistant. My thighs are on fire after just a few minutes and I have to stop - (I can usually run for 30-45 minutes non-stop on ellipticals I’ve used at the gym). Looking for a replacement and hoping this is easier

      It should. There are not side rails on the tablet holder, so as long as you place the tablet horizontally it should fit fine. It may be too tall for the adjustable clip to hold it vertically.

    Hi. Thank you for your excellent review and information. I own the SE7I and have a question please about syncing a heartrate monitor chest strap to this machine. I am accustom to walking up to machines like this in a gym and they automatically detect and connect to my Garmin Chest Strap. This one does not but it does say it is Bluetooth enabled. I scanned the manual and googled it with no luck. Thanks!

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru

      It will connect to a Bluetooth HR monitor, but unfortunately Garmin uses ANT+ tech so it won't connect with a Garmin. Polar chest straps use Bluetooth.

    • @nkhs4860
      @nkhs4860 Před 3 lety +1

      Have exact question..
      Read somewhere front is more like stepper..
      Rear is like walking stride..
      no idea if this claim is true.
      But I hv knee issues and need to avoid step like stride...so I may go for rear...
      Wish I can try these models.. not a lot on display

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  Před 3 lety +5

      Rear wheel drives tend to provide a smoother feel because the flywheel is in the back for stability. However, they are also longer and larger. A front flywheel centers the weight under the user, so there is a bit more stability on the front end, but the backend can rock occasionally. Front wheel drives can fold as well since the flywheel is under the console. Otherwise, the functionality is quite similar.

    Great review, Do you have to have a ifit subscription for this on initial startup, and there after, Seen in another video, that the screen is locked until you activate ifit subscription. Is there a advantage of the 9 over the 7 if not using ifit?
    Thanks

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  Před 3 lety +1

      The SE9i is Bluetooth enabled so it will sync with a heart rate chest strap. It also has a 7" touchscreen and a few more resistance levels. The SE7i has a basic LCD screen and won't sync with a chest strap - it has heart rate sensors in the handles. Otherwise, they're pretty similar.
      When you purchase the machine, it will include a code to get iFit free for the first year. When you first set up your machine, you'll have to input the code and create an iFit account. From there, you can access all the features. If you don't want to continue iFit, just remember to cancel the subscription before the end of that first year.
