Now I understand why people say, “why am I separating it if it’s all getting dumped into the same truck”. They don’t see the hatch!

Absolutely.. People have no idea what's happening inside these split body trucks

Pretty clean recycle stream, always gonna be that pillow, plant, or pizza box(es) that find their way in there though. Haven't checked out your channel in a while, but I'm reminding myself how much I enjoy hopper videos. Looking forward to binging more haha!

Thanks. I appreciate your support. Believe it or not pizza boxes ARE permitted in our stream as long as they are minimal grease stained.
      NO system is 100% clean.

Nice! How do you like this kind of split body Labrie compared to your usual automizer? I see pros and cons to both.

I hate it. This particular truck is about 5 years old and has a lot of maintenance issues. It doesn't pack very well and i'm so used to the automation of the automizer i forget to hold the buttons. And this truck is slow.
This video is from March but I have been using it last 2 or 3 weeks due to automizer ram blowing up (yes, it blew up)
When it comes to comparing the two.. there things i like about both labrie expert and labrie automizer and things i wish one would use on the other.. and so on

I do not know, how I ended up here, but I enjoyed watching. 😁 First time of me seeing a truck collecting two different kinds of trash. Where I live, they would have to use two trucks for that (or do two rounds with the same truck)
A question though: From what I gather: black tons are for non-recyclable waste and blue tons for everything that is recyclable (cans, paper, PET & glass bottles etc)? Where I live (southern Germany), black is non-recyclable, blue is excusively for paper. And yellow tons are for plastics (packaging, styrofoam, PET bottles). Cans & Glass bottles don't belong in residual waste at all, they have their own municipal depot containers. The differences are fascinating. Thanks for sharing

Every locale is different. Some have municipal collection ran by the govt and some have municipal done by private contractors. Others are pure private contractors. Example? Waste management, republic services in the USA.
I can't speak for other systems but our municipal collection is done by a private company. This company also owns the processing plant that sorts and processes recyclables which negate having to use separate trucks on a route. We call that process single stream. Is it perfect? No. There is still a large amount of contamination which is mostly on the customer end.
The waste situation in the United States is terrible. But not the worst compared to some east Asian countries.
My videos are just for entertainment. As I like to watch how some trucks just gobble up waste like it's nothing..

Having just visited Germany and Austria, spending a lot of time in Munich, I can say recycling is much more advanced there than in the US. Our recyclable materials are much lower quality because the plastic PET beverage containers, aluminum cans, and glass are mixed with paper and cardboard. This leads to all the materials being lower quality when they are sorted. Germany (and Europe) keeps the recycling much cleaner with the separate bins as you described. The problem for the US is that most people live in single family homes like this video. So if we tried to do a German style recycling service, each house would have five bins, unlike in Germany where an apartment building would have 10-15 bins of 4-5 different categories.

@trashmonster26 , thanks for this explanation. I think it does a good job of explaining the difference between europe and the us when it comes to recycling

@@trashmonster26I am NO environment advocate, however, I do believe if we replaced all the POS plastic bottles with glass, not only would everything be of better quality, but it would made sorting and recycling all of this MUCH easier!

Is that a labrie expert because it’s definitely not a automizer
