And 32 years later, this wonderful band of brothers took the stage for the final time in their home town, STILL speaking up about everything important to them. I've known Rob & Jim since 1974. My friends who have done remarkable things... given articulate voice to those of us that would be silenced and created a legacy that every Australian should be proud of and should aspire to. My heroes.

That's cool. My Dad was a history profesor when I was growing up and he always was pointing out the little guys who made a massive splash in history. People like Midnight Oil. They got super popular right about when I was 16. I remember dancing to their music to this day and I can't really dance, let's be perfectly honest here. Not really at all. Very odd. But when their stuff would come on, somehow I could. Maybe it was the groove. Maybe it was the content. Hard to tell.

I was there in the front of that crowd. I can't believe I thought of this memory tonight and looked it up. It was a crazy day that I still remember bc I was a Junior in high school in New Jersey. My high school acting class and I drove into NYC on a bus to see a Broadway show. After the show got out, we walked down the street and randomly into THIS crowd. We were right up front. I'll never forget it. On our way home to Jersey that day, our bus got into a bad accident and I ended up in the hospital later that afternoon, while on a school trip. That day is forever etched into my brain. Anyhow, I was just looking for myself and my classmates in the crowd in this video. I might've been that girl you keep seeing with the big teased Jersey hair. 😂

Love their music but so many people are mislead on the human imposition on the environment. We'll all be in trouble on the next Krakatoa type volcanic explosion - what you goin' to sing about then. I hope we can still sing, enjoy music, and have discourse about important topics but hope we can realize we are very small on the environment - we'll see how climate change based on carbon emissions of the human population is pretty insignificant come next - Volcanic/Tsunami/Earthquake /Fire - we are insignificant in this world - the plants and insects will take over pretty quickly.. So stay the course and be god peoplt to each other before the next big one it will happen.

+K Mac Humanity is the proximate cause of the Sixth Great Mass Extinction in geologic history. An event on par with the meteor impact that killed the dinosaurs, 61 million years ago. Not on par with a volcano, that causes a decade or two of climate fluctuation, or an earthquake the knocks down a few buildings or makes a tsunami. There are several orders of magnitude between the environmental effects each causes. Deny all you want, the facts exist despite your refusal to recognize them.
