I was homeless and then started sleeping on a family member couch. I was in ministry I usually came home late on weekends. Family member became upset why. I explained but to no avail. I was asked to leave, sleeping in the church and one night the Lord spoke out clearly, "I will settle you" I got a roommate and today 3yrs later I own a home, a very decent one. His promises are yes and amen 🙏

Hey sis, don't ever feel bad about it. I have also been listening to Gospel songs when I was your age growing up and people also judged me. It's not about us being overly religious as some might perceive it but it's because these songs just bring us closer to him, and into his presence and in his presence there is freedom, peace from the chaos and it just calms you down. But looking back, listening to these songs and growing up to an adult, I am so thankful and I wouldn't change a thing, because in one way or the other the lyrics in those songs encouraged me, kept me strong in my relationship with Jesus and have been my escape from all the problems and struggles of life.
