Loving whispers is a pretty good spell, useful during tough fights. The mind cost isnt too bad when its between a game over and finding some tobacco or wine.
The critical (claw) status is technically not as bad as a triple damage attack. It makes it so as long as you have 2 or more hp the next damage you take puts you at 1hp.
yeah the Uterus is a weird thing, embryo is really tanky and dangerous, also it applies a status effect that sets your hp to 1 next time you modify your hp, not worth to fight that thing at all lol Healing whispers is one of the best spells in-game, it heals your whole group for a measly cost of 30 mind, which isn't that hard to come by you found the wizard with no pointy hat! best merchant. sorcerer's stone is really useful, won't spoil what it does ;) ahh, the Harvestman, my favorite funger enemy! He's so innocent yet so dangerous, truly a masterful design (i love him) book of memories randomly gives you one free skill from your character's skill tree, marksmanship is the best skill of the outlander but you need 2 hands for the bow pretty sure... otherwise you use it on the overworld (not in fights), but you need bow+arrow as you mentioned the enemy that jumpscared you at the hole in the end was the harvestman, he has a nice interaction on higher difficulty and specific stuff

I'll be sure to go through all the merchants items in a future upload I really thought the harvestman was innocent, but he is dangerous like you said I see, so each character has their own skill tree and book of memories unlocks one of them randomly. Seems like marksmanship allows one to shoot arrows in the overworld to damage enemies before a fight. Could prove useful! Not sure if it works on boss fights So it was the harvestman that was in the hole. Hopefully I get to see the interaction in terror and starvation

You're right, seems to heal 80 hp for 30 mind, that can indeed be useful for tough fights!

What a terrible past, at least you learned a new skill. About mind, besides of smoking you can drink alcohol to lower it
