gradual progress is the way , If you notice any improvment at all no matter how small each day you won't even reccognise just how far you come in a year . :)

That is a great point. When I feel like I had a crap day at the park, I think how far I have come and it brings it into perspective. Its tough when you get older to be patient with the process, I always know in the back of my mind there are only so many good years left and tend to want to rush the process.

That miszou is looking good man! What you can do to help with the back foot placement and overall stance of the miszou is rotate your body a little bit so your right shoulder is really leading and the left is following, and hold your left arm more ‘open’, meaning a bit farther back. That way your back foot will lock almost automatically and feel more solid, thus taking weight off of your front foot, making the grins more enjoyable. This one is also easier to get a bit lower on, which means less height to jump. Good luck, look forward to seeing your progress!

Getting lower with old man knees is harder than you think! I will definitely try your suggestions, I am really struggling to take that mizu to the ledge at the park. In fact I struggle with just about everything on that ledge!

@@theaverageoldguy ledges are so much harder than coping boxes. I’d concentrate my efforts on the p rail. Pick up on the ledge later on.

@@RemyCadier I love skating the park so much more then the p-rail, it's hard to trade park time for p-rail time!

From one older to another. Don't try to jump on, crouch bum out as far as you can, hop and hit you bum with heels. Hop on. The grass is great we grass all the time for a mellow session. Feet wider than shoulders at all times, get knees low and front foot out far.
If you improve your squat locker on is way easier.

I haven't been able to hit my bum with my right heel in 30 years! Yea, that hop is the way to go, just unnatural at the moment. Working on it and still trying to find which grind is the least painful and most productive for me. The mizu feels great there in the grass, but I can't get it working on the ledges at the park yet, so we'll see what ends shaking out in the end.
