    I have the exact same model he uses in this video. I cannot tell you how awesome this thing works. Big time saver and makes your ropes last a lot longer when combined with a block. Highly recommended device.

    We made a few of these and put 2 pins instead of 1 at the tail out end so you don’t get cross over of the ropes it makes a huge difference to be able to stand at any angle and have no bind up,just keep the usual amount of tension on the rope and ya good to go.
    You run the rope in between the the two 18mm pins 👍

    Instead of a whoopie sling, would a rachet strap work?

      Thanks for the feedback! It is definitely something that every arborist should have in their gear bag!

    you show the device under the load, should you try to be on a different tree or should the ground person be away from the tree when the piece is cut?

    i have a question using the port a wrap lets say you have a 200 ft tree but you have a rope that can only reach trees up to a 150 is there any thing you can do to join another rope together or somthing and not getting the not of the joiend rope getting stuck on the port a wrap? help please

    • @chrischarge3129
      @chrischarge3129 Před rokem

      No. The knot used to combine the two ropes will stop rope movement at the portawrap or the block up in the tree.

    This device will make your ropes last longer just like powerwagon7 mentioned.
