I was just breaking down some of the things that I observed from this particular episode. Honestly, both Vince and Tamar are equally responsible for the tension in their marriage, which is why I said they need to work on communicating better.

In one episode few seasons ago he pulls a Spanish looking girl into their argument and literally while trying to prove his point about what's disrespectful was being fully disrespectful to this unsuspecting woman while throwing his arms around the I guess cabana girl. He is nuts and Tamar is just who she is-

"Velcro" is a term they've always used to describe each other & glorify the fact that they're always together.. (in the past). Then Tamar realized it isn't the best thing, in which she tried to explain to Vince. Velcro doesn't mean you don't love them, just that you need time to miss them.

Tamar’s complaints about Vince’s management sounds a lot like Toni’s complaints. Toni decided to drop him as a manager, and Tamar almost scolded Toni for having expectations of her manager (Vince) that were unrealistic. Now, Tamar has the same complaints!!
I was waiting for some comedic relief the whole time. It never came. So uncomfortable to watch! Tamar isn't always innocent but Vince is a miserable so and so. I wonder if he deliberately tried to sabotage her career, out of spite. He's made too many sloppy mistakes with her shows etc.

I was shocked too! I never knew Vince was as emotionally manipulative and abusive as he exposed himself to be in this episode! He always gaslights Tamar and diminishes any concerns she has while always portraying her as crazy. Tamar is no angel, but Vince's true colors are really showing this season. Even when Tamar is calm, he says really mean things to her. The comment about her head getting too big because she sold out a venue was uncalled for and abusive. Why would you not your wife to know that she is commercially successful? Her only mistake was to discuss their issues in front of their friends and also that she brought them on what was supposed to be a family vacation. But after watching this episode, I understand why Tamar did that. Vince is very distant emotionally and he isolates Tamar emotionally by constant dismissing how she feels. He literally shuts off and it feels like talking to a wall, which leaves Tamar no other choice than opening up her friends, because they are the only outlet she has to express her feelings. I'm glad she filed for divorce, they're not good for each other anymore!
I agree! I don’t think they’re faking it now. Hell, they were most likely faking it all those other seasons pretending to be happy. PRETENDING that Vince was the calm reasonable one and Tamar was ALWAYS the problem. She has been protecting his image while making herself look crazy.

But calm is one thing she is NOT, but I don’t think she is the only problem in this relationship. I think Vince has been a bigger problem than editing has shown and since he is an executive producer on both shows it explains why they will always try and show her in a bad light, but never show his true colors. Tamar *NEVER* got dropped from her Epic Records label, she said on The Breakfast Club Vince thought it was better to WALK AWAY from the label because they do everything on their own anyway. THATS the problem with him leaving her in the dark about her career. Vince and the label has to AGREE on a date (with tamar) in which they did initially. When they changed it they didn't tell her. Of course you can't control when others change their release date, however they're still in the wrong for not involving her. He would NEVER do that to any of his other artists.

It wasn't a problem, when she was throwing her "great" relationship in her sisters' faces. Being that she has her own insecurities, she taught she had a ugly dude with low self-esteem that would anything for her (remember last season of BFV). Now...Vince always appeared passive aggressive in their relationship. In past seasons, Vince always did little sneaky ish, to mess with Tamar's career. Then when Tamar calls him out he's gets pissed. Now Vince dropped that weight he acting up and out a little more. It's not benefitting Tamar at all. At the end of the day Tamar is lethal with her mouth, but is sensitive af! Vince is a passive aggressive manipulator. These two have always had awkward fights in front of their friends. This episode showed how they really get down.
You made an error. Vince wasn't the one who told her she had an interview. She was in her dressing room and was told by someone else. She had to call Vince after she got that piece of news to ask him what was she to do when she has interviewers waiting and she has a show in half an hour.
I have never really been a Tamar fan but the reason behind her behavior is starting to make sense. I think that Tamar brings her friends around for protection from Vince. This was a very good analogy on what the Herbert-Braxtons have going on in their complicated business/marriage/divorce. I wholeheartedly agree that COMMUNICATION is one of the worst problems the two of them have (had) at this point. I, like many others, originally thought that the divorce was all a publicity stunt... before seeing these episodes. On the one hand I feel as though this whole season from Tamar's standpoint was a "ploy" to expose Vince. And while Vince certainly has a lot to be exposed--adult temper tantrums, being verbally abusive of his spouse, and being a lousy husband-ger, as Tamar so elegantly put it, but Tamar has her own faults as well. Notwithstanding the fact that it now COULD appear to SOME (self included) that she used Vince to get what she wanted (a leg up in the music industry) and now that she has excelled in that she no longer needs him, but this season Tamar appears to really be "coming for" Vince and throwing "shade" all over the place. She is exposing him for all of his faults, and putting him in a place where people can see that it is not all her. And I can say it's working... at least with me anyway. There was a time when I couldn't stand #Tamar and her big mouth and bratty over-the-top attitude. But now... I can actually relate... and in a sense, UNDERSTAND her pain. It also appears Tamar's friends are smack dab in the middle of it. Their "friends" know waaay too much about Tamar and Vince's personal business and Tamar will bring up ANYthing in front of them. That's a PROBLEM. I think if each of them, Vince and Tamar, would get out of their own heads and hear what each other's concerns are, they might have (had) half a chance of saving their marriage. Also Tamar is at that age/stage in her life that many women go through... when they just become allergic to bull crap. The more crap you throw at them, the more vocal/petty they become... and eventually they just want out. This new #Tamar... I'm still on the fence about her... but I think I like her better. I was shocked too! I never knew Vince was as emotionally manipulative and abusive as he exposed himself to be in this episode! He always gaslights Tamar and diminishes any concerns she has while always portraying her as crazy.
Tamar is no angel, but Vince's true colors are really showing this season. Even when Tamar is calm, he says really mean things to her. The comment about her head getting too big because she sold out a venue was uncalled for and abusive. Why would you not your wife to know that she is commercially successful?
Her only mistake was to discuss their issues in front of their friends and also that she brought them on what was supposed to be a family vacation. But after watching this episode, I understand why Tamar did that.

Tamar knows how Vince is/was. She knows his issues stemming from his parents deaths. These issues and being velcroed weren't problems when she tried to get her career popping! It wasn't a problem, when she was throwing her "great" relationship in her sisters' faces. Being that she has her own insecurities, she taught she had a ugly dude with low self-esteem that would anything for her (remember last season of BFV).
Now...Vince always appeared passive aggressive in their relationship. In past seasons, Vince always did little sneaky ish, to mess with Tamar's career. Then when Tamar calls him out he's gets pissed. Now Vince dropped that weight he acting up and out a little more. It's not benefitting Tamar at all.
At the end of the day Tamar is lethal with her mouth, but is sensitive af! Vince is a passive aggressive manipulator. These two have always had awkward fights in front of their friends. This episode showed how they really get down.

You made an error. Vince wasn't the one who told her she had an interview. She was in her dressing room and was told by someone else. She had to call Vince after she got that piece of news to ask him what was she to do when she has interviewers waiting and she has a show in half an hour.
I have never really been a Tamar fan but the reason behind her behavior is starting to make sense. I think that Tamar brings her friends around for protection from Vince. They have a very emotionally and physically abusive relationship. I know more is going to come out about Vince’s behavior towards her.
This was a very good analogy on what the Herbert-Braxtons have going on in their complicated business/marriage/divorce. I wholeheartedly agree that COMMUNICATION is one of the worst problems the two of them have (had) at this point.
I, like many others, originally thought that the divorce was all a publicity stunt... before seeing these episodes. On the one hand I feel as though this whole season from Tamar's standpoint was a "ploy" to expose Vince. And while Vince certainly has a lot to be exposed--adult temper tantrums, being verbally abusive of his spouse, and being a lousy husband-ger, as Tamar so elegantly put it, but Tamar has her own faults as well. Notwithstanding the fact that it now COULD appear to SOME (self included) that she used Vince to get what she wanted (a leg up in the music industry) and now that she has excelled in that she no longer needs him, but this season Tamar appears to really be "coming for" Vince and throwing "shade" all over the place. She is exposing him for all of his faults, and putting him in a place where people can see that it is not all her. And I can say it's working... at least with me anyway. There was a time when I couldn't stand #Tamar and her big mouth and bratty over-the-top attitude. But now... I can actually relate... and in a sense, UNDERSTAND her pain.
It also appears Tamar's friends are smack dab in the middle of it. Their "friends" know waaay too much about Tamar and Vince's personal business and Tamar will bring up ANYthing in front of them. That's a PROBLEM.
I think if each of them, Vince and Tamar, would get out of their own heads and hear what each other's concerns are, they might have (had) half a chance of saving their marriage.
Also Tamar is at that age/stage in her life that many women go through... when they just become allergic to bull crap. The more crap you throw at them, the more vocal/petty they become... and eventually they just want out.

One thing, maybe I need to do my research, however I thought Tamar stated that Vince took her from the label and started their own label, not that she was actually dropped by the label but that Vince simply made the ultimate decision to take away from Epic Records. I think she stated that she did not want to leave the label, but Vince made the decision on his own without her consent.
