    This is why hiphop history is important so things can be put into perspective. Most of us aren't from NY but through music we've learned these things. If you heard his classic stuff you would've understood some things. Hes been around since he was 17 so he references many instances, DJs, rappers & artists all from Queens. "Thun/Dun" is a popular term Queens. This song is just an ode to his hood.

    Dam man it's so much to tell and teach you so many references....knowing the history of Queens NYC and Nas is vital...no Jay-Z is from Brooklyn they had beef years ago. Let me know if you want the background...

    Look up SUPREME TEAM,it's a documentary that NaS produced about drugs lords from Queens back in the '80's
