- Mark Rubin has given the XDefiant community an update regarding the development on the game. We are just a few short weeks away from another larger update and the inevitable release of the game! Today we get more information surrounding SBMM, Prestige Mode, Netcode, and the Party System.

XDefiant (formerly known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and published by Ubisoft. XDefiant is currently in development and is set to be released this summer on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. - Hry
XDefiant is approaching launch with a newly stabilized party system & netcode update! This will make things sail smoother at launch and beyond.
I think XDefiant will most likely launch late February/Early March

no sbmm and a classic Prestige system is what has me excited to play XDefiant, not to mention how the game looks and feels, it gives me OG CoD vibes and I loved every minute that I played back in those playtest they put out

Thanks for making an update on xDefiant, This game looks very promising for the next big FPS. They need to just add a bunch of unlock-able camos, emblems, titles and etc. prestige needs to be like how you explained, too

Honestly I don't know, the devs have their heart in the right direction, but it's a Ubisoft game, and Ubisoft doesn't have the best track record.

I remember when this game was originally announced in 2020, I saw people mocked the hell out of it. Now everyone is desperate for it. Oh how times have changed lol
I’m still holding my breath unfortunately cause it’s a Ubisoft title, and I’ve really lost my faith with them recently with Avatar and AC: Mirage.
I actually really like the idea of seeing yours and other players previous season ranks, what would also be cool is attaining max rank in a year yield some sort of skin or something cosmetic to show off the level
Have they mentioned anything about any sort of ranked gamemode?

I would hope when they do prestige mode, you can have the option to do it or not like you had back in OG MW2 for example.

The welcome llaylist is similar to OG cods where they had recuit playlist on multi.. i beleive it was to lvl 10 then locked.. also they had a prestige playlist locked till forst prestige from what i remember
I do like how they actually make the guns look like thier real life counterparts unlike Call of Duty now that vector looks the way it's supposed and not cursed like the one from Modern Warfare reboot

It's not really the cod devs, it's the higher ups that ruin cod, most of the devs do care, but are hammered by executives and stuff.

Give me XDefiant already. Its the Bo4 sequel I've been wanting to play for a while. Now that the honeymoon period of MW3 is going away, its time for XDefiant, just like Apex with Bo4.
My guess for the launch is February/March as well. Great minds think alike!

I played MW19 in 2022 and while you can still feel the remnants of strict SBMM from time to time, it was pretty much mixed.
Sweaty 6 mans, absolute noobs and everything in between.
MW2022 was the last cod I brought and I regrett it yup I'ma move on Fuck Cod fuck Activision

I actually cant play games with sbmm anymore. Its like playing black jack with a friend or playing it on a gambling application thats stacking the odds against you.
Its not fun loosing because the game put you against harder players on purpose. But against randoms i dont mind.
I feel like xdefiant won't be a "cod killer", it feels a lot more competitive compared to cod.
It looks like this will be more of a competitor to counter strike?
A multi year game, with a dedicated fan base, but not as casual as cod.
I hope they still stick to the console only xplay option. If it's another game I gotta put up with cheating pc trash I'm gonna skip it. I miss multiplayer shooters only having a massive cheating problem on the PC release without dragging the rest of us down too.
Kinda over this game already especially with Pixel Strike 3D coming out on xbox recently. Games are fun, fast, and no SBMM. Currently top F2P game on xbox right now.
I don't even care about this game anymore. I loved the beta, as it solved many of my problems with current CoD. Now that MWIII has launched and fixed many of the problems I had with MWII, much of that excitement has dwindled. Also now that it's been so long, I'm just no longer excited.

Not going to lie. I absolutely will NOT play the game if console still feels as clunky as it did. It felt like playing eith a 5$ bluetooth controller with an extreme response lag.

Prestiging has always been about the most worthless process ever in video gaming. Who really cares how long you were playing the game. It doesn’t even mean you’re good.
Call of Duty has become so pathetic that they even took away challenges that are tied to Killstreaks to protect bad players from feeling excluded instead of motivating them to get better. I got a MGB but no calling card or emblem reward either.

Y'all need to stop asking XDefiant to be COD. Let it evolve into its own thing. All you guys do is ask for this game to copy COD and nothing more. It's annoying because we could have an amazing new FPS IP, but all they get asked to do is "Do this like COD." I don't care that there are ex-COD devs working on the game. Let them make what they feel is awesome because at the end of the day, that's what they did with COD.
