    Did I miss a mention of Thrust & Betrayal by Chris Crawford? The core gameplay or perhaps the only gameplay is learning the personality of the other characters through conversations using an iconographic language (which is impossible to tell lies with). Highly experimental game that falls somewhere between Versu and Sims I'd say. Great talk by the way.

    I don't understand why a gamer would want to deal with anything else then a dynamic game, but it has become the standard because of hardware limitations. Luckily Moorse law has been doing it's thing and game development can evolve with it but many games have gone with the better graphics route instead of making the world more event driven. With the help of AI synthesized voices and AI generated storytelling we are on the brink of big leap in game development evolution.
