Regarding Yivum, I don't understand the reasoning why we don't continue doing it today, the reasoning is because people today can't distinguish between mitzva and pleasure, when a person marries any woman he marries some one he likes, and then there's the mitzva of priyu u rivu, now not everyone is holding on a level where there kavana is for the mitzvah itself when doing it, so why make a distinction with Yivum, we're losing a very big mitzvah
@@ThatGuy-sd3zl yes I agree but you can make that argument about many things, and really who cares if it's for pleasure why should it negate it being a mitzvah? And what about not adding or subtracting from the Torah, this seems to be subtracting a mitzvah, I can understand suspending a mitzvah for a certain period but to ban it indefinitely how does that work?
Great lecture
Excellent shiur toda raba
“People are worse than dogs sometimes” 😂😂😂. So true tho !!!
