Thanks for another good one! When I built my stitching pony, I inlaid a couple of small neodymium magnets (1 on each arm), best thing I ever did. I can’t tell you how convenient it is to be able to just stick my needles on them.

Great process and well shot, personally if I’m making a pocket like this, I’ll use a super skinny double sided tape on the stitch line to hold it down.
your Videos are SO Helpful to us beginners - I'm planning on making a couple of inexpensive wallets, then I'm on to the Alligators I killed this year for a few wallets, belts, and maybe even a card holder that you show ! THANK YOU (sucks you glued your 'Coffee')

I don’t use glue no more. I use basting tape. It’s 5mm wide double sided tape and very effective.
That’s another way. Yep. It’s just not for me. 👍

why not use double-sided adhesive tape to secure in place before punching?

Why have that extra stitch-hole at the top of each side? I was trying to ask before you punched each side, but you couldn't hear me.
So the corners don’t lift or curl.
Or you can use 3mm width double-sided tape, but this could work too, i guess.

@@MasconLeather What wrong with staying there forever? Use it instead of glue on the edges of pocket, it's very convenient.

@@MasconLeather You could always tape, punch, then remove the tape and stitch. But this is a cool method too, and looks like it works great if you're well practiced at it
Or you can just get a really cheap roll of removable double sided tape and tape the pocket down while punching out the holes. I’ve tried your method and the leather shifted when removing the stitching chisels which happens sometimes. Tape prevents this. Just an FYI. You can get double sided tape at most leather supply or craft stores.

Did you watch it ? It’s “not glued”. Thus “floating”
