Carmen Losmann: OECONOMIA

Director Carmen Losmann introduces her film OECONOMIA, screening across the US via KINO! Germany Now! 2021 Discover New Talent, presented by the German Film Office, an initiative of the Goethe-Institut and German Films: bit.ly/kinooeconomia.
Carmen Losmann was born in Crailsheim, Germany in 1979. She studied marketing and later film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). Oeconomia is her second feature-length film. The first, Work Hard - Play Hard (2011), deals with the effects of modern human resource management and was received numerous awards, including the prestigious German Grimme Prize 2014.
In a time of uncertainty and new challenges for our film community, the German Film Office is pleased to offer a new opportunity for theaters across the United States to present a curated selection of new fllms from Germany. KINO! Germany NOW! enables art-house cinemas and film festivals to book recent films fresh from the international festival circuit for both virtual and in-person screenings.
