  • Grammy and Academy award winning composer, A. R. Rahman performed with, and was paid tribute to, by Berklee College of Music at Symphony Hall, Boston, on October 24, 2014. The repertoire for the concert spanned Mr. Rahman's illustrious discography of over 25 years. We are delighted to release all 16 pieces presented at the concert featuring 109 performers from 32 countries representing The Berklee Indian Ensemble, The Berklee World String Ensemble, and Boston University's Indian dance troupe, BU Bhangra.

    this song is very emrional but not JUST for indians but also for all of subcontinent...i am from bangladesh and i am literally in tears right now...i have never really thought of india as any diffrent from me...the blood of beautiful bharat runs in all of our veins ...at the end of the day..all of south asia (ind,ban, pak, sri, nep,bhut) are all the same!! we all r the same!!! ❤

    At 5:24, when AR Rahman comes on to the stage and the audience erupts into cheers, the girl on the extreme right looks like she's going to die of joy. When she sings "tere pairon me jannat hai" looking at AR Rahman, she seems star struck and looks like she really believes that the world is at AR Rahman's feet. Maybe even rightly so.

    Staying abroad for few months made me realise I can connect more with Pakistani and Bangladeshi than with anyone else..
