Thank you so much for this. Your tips saved me an hour of frustration and possible injury while trying to pry the damn cover off the key FOB. The instructions for how to remove it in the owner's manual were incomplete, to say the least, and therefore possibly dangerous. If I had continued to try to remove the cover without your help, I'm sure I would have destroyed the FOB. Buick and GM really slipped up, here.

Was expecting it to be some ungodly overpriced proprietary battery, that’s a relief.

Now my issue is that I changed my key fob and now my car doesn’t recognize my keys 😢. I know how to start my car, However reprogramming the key back, isn’t easy. I guess I will be going to the Buick dealership tomorrow.
