Be that as it may, leadership requires sacrifices. You have seen Raila Odinga work with people who have tormented him for years. He does that for the sake of Peace and a unity of Kenya.
Both Ruto and Babu may not be of that cut. Ruto went to war in PEV of 2007/8 because according him, that was election was stolen by Kibaki. A very valid point. So Ruto is simply Trump when it comes to elections. Win or lose. I’m yet to see if Babu will be Ruto or Raila.
But thank you for enlightenment. Just that I thought that anyone who claims to be the one to replace Raila Amollo Odinga will be for Kenya. Not ja’Luos.
But just remember this, then the bell rings, the past will be laid bare. There will be questions of Qaddafi connections and its brutality. There will be many questions.

Lee, I know you are fond of Babu Owino. Personally I have nothing againstagainst Babu. He has all the qualities of a leader save for a few things he must guard against. First thing he has to do is to guard against Babu Owino himself. He must know himself and know how to deal with self. Most leaders are destroyed by themselves. Take any. Say Ruto, Raila, Uhuru, Trump, etc let him do SWOT analysis of himself. Babu should now stop vulgarity or appearing too youthful to make him look immature. He should now create an image that cuts across age groups.
Babu must now look for money. Without money, he is going nowhere. Raila broke away but fortunately he had money, may be from family. Politics is transactional.
Babu must also learn to be a cat of many lives. He must be a Raila. He must have a strategy to keep himself alive because he is already creating enemies from within Luo Kingpin competitors, ODM, Azimio leadership contenders and also Kenyan political landscape. This is a must. I need not say more. He must invest in his security.
Babu should get mature and experienced advisors not friends.. People who will tell him the truth.
Babu needs to learn to move like undercurrent water. Moving underneath but very swift and strong. Let slowly but surely build his networks without alerting his distractors. Before they know it is too late. And many many I could say …..
