Tip: You should always group a shape before cloning (yes, in a group with 1 member for the time being), thus being able to not only modify the shape of the clone original, but even adding more objects to it if needed! All clones will be affected immediately as shown in your video. Doing so, you could later add a smaller second star shape to the first one for example.
