The format should be "X + T + Y = F", where X represents the sum of time penalties before/starting the solve, T represents the time displayed on the timer (the "original recorded time"), Y represents a sum of time penalties during/after the solve, and F represents the final result (e.g. 2 + 17.65 + 2 = 21.65). If X and/or Y is 0, the 0 terms are omitted (e.g. 17.65 + 2 = 19.65).

Lolz, I was the main organizer of the comp and i usually know every such little details about what's going on but i just recognized this (that i missed what's going on) after watching video. And not even by the name, but the cube covers lolz. Congrats my man, i always support silly first tries but never welcome the 2nd guys...
I remember my cube popped in a competition, a few peices just came out.... the penalty was 30 seconds...
It has occurred to me that most cubers I’ve heard of have a pretty impressive collection of cubes already. The mad lad that did this didn’t actually need another 3x3 speed cube for his collection but it was amusing and the free cube was a bonus

it's a joke I made two years ago when no one followed me, and now you literally summed up the two things that I did in my entire youtube career that aren't "in accordance with the rules". oh well
In 2018 a friend got 2 DNF in a 2x2 AVG so in the 5th solve he tried to do a +16. The delegate realized this so my friend got a DNF on that solve. So, if you do that on propouse you get a DNF (It's on the rules of the WCA but I'm too lazy to search wich is).
My PB of +N is +6 in a 3x3 Avg. It was legal but I didn't record it :(

This solve is a DNF according to regulation 2k6: "A competitor must not compete with the expectation of a DNF result or an intentionally poor result."
He could argue that his "intention" was to get the best possible solve in spite of maximizing the number of penalties. A rule with the word "intentionally" in it is inherently problematic.
@@blindleader42 that's hard to argue that they didn't get +16 intentionally, especially since they seem pretty alright at big cubes, so they probably have hundreds of solves where they didn't do this (or you could just look at the rest of comp.
Either way it's at the discretion of the delegate, so they should've stepped in

All that being said, it's a one time event. If someone decides to copy him, they will most likely be disqualified.

Fun fact, the +16 should be written in 2 parts, since half of the penalties come before the solve. Example: 8+10.54+8=26.54
