- He is LaCienega Boulevardez's father and Oscar Proud's best friend. He and Oscar are both funny and piggy at glamouring at other women and they both like watching TV. They even get nervous when their wives catch them at doing something that upsets them. He is also a big fan of Freddy Freedo. He is the father of LaCienega and the husband of Sunset. He and Oscar often get into trouble together. He and Oscar have a lot in common: both have dominating wives, both have parents living in their home (Oscar has Suga Mama and Felix has Papi) and both have teenage daughters. The differences between them is that Oscar is tall and skinny and Felix is short and overweight, and Felix is also richer and more successful than Oscar at everything, yet that does not affect their friendship. They are also very strict with their daughters hanging out with boys.
There is something wonderful about two grown men's friendship like that.
The only shame about the relationship is the fact that they only have one brain cell between the two
I could only hope to have that someday
Because that's natural and the way nature intended two men to be instead of how 2022 wants two men to be
Because they both have dominating wives, live with their parents and have teenage daughters and are strict with them on dating boys.
Plus they are both complete idiots and children.
But in Louder and Prouder, Oscar is mean to Felix constantly
I love how the show gave Oscar a genuine, kind friend despite all the crap he deals with.
Agreed on that note in some ways Felix is the white version of Oscar proud.
They both have teenage daughters that they refuse to let any boy date, they both have nagging wives who they are deeply afraid of to death and they both act like idiots.
Only difference between them is that Felix is a successful businessman unlike Oscar.

First it was Ernie and George from George Lopez, now it's Oscar and Felix.
Felix is such a true bro to Oscar, always helping Oscar in whatever, bonding in things considered manly; I barely recall the two being rivals cause of some major disagreement or whose better for the entirety of a plot.
In Louder and Prouder however, Oscar is mean to Felix.

I guess the best way to explain is that it’s like buying a car. It starts as a good idea, you have fun, it’s the best thing ever going anywhere with it, but 50/50 of the time like a marriage, a car could go either way, it lasts forever and you love it, or it keeps causing problems for you. Whether your the husband or wife that’s how it is.
