Facebook outage!!

Hi Guys, Today we faced massive facebook outage! is this bad internal user? miss configuration? or even BGP AS hijack or is it DNS problem?
what do you think?
we will see this incident in CISSP training and cyber security courses in future!

#ThousandEyes tests can confirm that at 15:40 UTC on October 4, the Facebook application became unreachable due to DNS failure. Facebook’s authoritative DNS nameservers became unreachable at that time.

I think is DNS
nslookup didn't resovle facebook or wahtapp ip
BGP as path is next step
user > DNS > routing(BGP as path) > FB server
maybe is not correct
